Contact person (Orqui) is a unique person that reccommended us what to do. She took care about us so we could fully enjoy our vacation at Las Galeras!!! Thank you for your care!! La Playita beach is one of the beautest beaches we have seen at Dominican republic and we highly reccommend to visit!!! Thanks Orqui and her husband for great tip!!!

Nowadays there has been a lot of mosquitoes due to hurricane but we found a repelent that helped a bit to protect us from a mosquitoes bites.

The place is very cozy and relaxing if you want to have some proper countryside Dominican experience. It has a lovely garden and a terrace. The kitchen is extremely well equipped and is comfortable for making meals. You can use a washing machine which is a big asset if you have been travelling for almost two weeks! The people who look after the property are extremely nice and helpful and they speak very good English too - special thanks to Orquidea who rushed to help me when I messaged her about my stomach issues. The apartment is very close to the two wonderful beaches - Las Galeras and La Playita (my favourite one) - it was definitely worth it to come that far just to relax on one of those marvellous beaches with crystal clear water!

We wanted to test if we could survive without the aircon in a tropical climate. We could, but if you doubt it will be too hot for you as you are used to the aircon - don’t doubt it as it for sure will be very hot. The ceiling fan is very helpful but of course it will never give you the similar chill to what the aircon does. Be careful with all the food you leave in the kitchen as there are tiny ants, which will feast on it the moment you leave it unattended - it’s better to hide all the food in the fridge. Also, there were small issues with the hot water and one night I was taking the shower, it was hot for two minutes but later I had to finish with the cold one. Worth noting that the place doesn’t have glass windows, only mosquito nets and window bars. First night we woke up from the sounds of the tropical rain (which was quite romantic though). The rest of nights the wonderful dogs who live in the house were guarding our sleep and barking at someone every couple of hours. And you wake up at dawn at the sounds of the neighbour’s roosters morning call, but this is something that didn’t bother us at all as it was part of the countryside experience we wanted to have :)

Gabi was super nice, accommodated us with everything we needed very promptly. Her and her boyfriend were very helpful with suggestions about restaurants, beaches, stores. The closest beach Playito is very beautiful, 10-15 min walk. Nature around is beautiful.

A little bit loud fans since there is no AC. And it's a studio more than apartment,there is no walls between bedroom and living room and kitchen.

This accommodation was the best we had during our trip to Dominican Republic. Very spacious apartment, fully equipped kitchen, confortable bed. The balcony was great for having a drink in the evening. The host, Gabi, was very friendly and always ready to help. We really enjoyed the stay and if we visit Samaná peninsula again, we will choose this accommodation.

Beautiful, quiet, green location, so close to Playa la Playita. Large, clean well-equipped studio apartment. Friendly, excellent hosts.

Planned to stay for a couple of days, stayed for 2 weeks. the room is amazing, spacious with fully equiped kitchen(seriously it got every utensil we could think of and then some). I can imagine actually living in it for a longer time even for remote work. Pretty quiet most of the time. Very close to main area(with restaurants and colmados) but not cloes enought to get all its noise. Nice patios/balconies next to each room, also surrounded by pleasant garden. Very nice and helpful host - eager to offer useful advice and help with everything and sincerily friendly and caring in general. Cute dog. Short walk(through beautiful and quiet rural landscape) away from very good beach. Good pressure and warm water in the shower.

2 minor issues worth mentioning to set your expectations straight: no AC, just fans(which was no issue for us, because we avoid AC), and dogs in the surrounding homes start barking at everything and everyone that passes from time to time(although only during the day) - some people might find it annoying.

Very nice host. Properties normally offer low quality soaps for showering and handwashing. This one provided a nice one. Small details that do make a difference.

Perfect place, full equipment kitchen, very fast wi-fi, quite and nice. We will come back again

Quiet and peaceful. Kitchen and bathroom well stocked. Easy walking distance to town and local eateries. Felt VERY safe everywhere we went. The host (Mel), was exceptionally helpful and friendly. GREAT value. We plan to return!

Would be great to have an additional standing fan, in the room. We moved the living room fan to the bedroom at night. If anyone needed to sleep on the roll-a-way bed in the living room, they'd need a fan in there as well. WITH the fan, the bedroom was pleasantly cool at night.
