Period property so well equipped and comfortable. Stunning views from courtyard. Loved the history and all the information given about William Colenso. Napier was a special place.

Grt historical cottage - everything you needed and more

a heated towel rail would have been nice. and maybe a draught stopper for the front door (a big gap!)

We had a beautiful stay, despite the weather. It is a beautiful cottage and felt very homely and cosy. Not too much street noise at all and it is pretty close to the restauraunts. Would definitely book again :)

Honestly, everything was just perfect.

Delightful, authentic cottage. Top quality fittings and fixtures. Very peaceful surroundings.We had everything we needed, plus more. The bedding was luxurious, the attention to small details such as lovely lavender toiletries was much appreciated.

Love everything about this place. It's spacious, private, clean, and close to town. It is a charming place with modern amenities-can't ask for anything better. Literally nothing negative. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a place to stay in the area.

We absolutely loved everything about our stay. The room and cottage was perfectly decorated to acknowledge its history with a more modern comfortable twist. Loved the bed and couch - all the cushions and linens were of a high quality. The location was absolutely fantastic- we didn’t have to use our car, we just walked everywhere. There were lots of staircases making it easy to access town. The view is incredible from the cottage on both sides. The back yard area is stunning and I wish I had more time to spend lounging out there. We would definitely stay again if/when we return to Napier. Thanks so much for an absolutely wonderful honeymoon location.

Everything was exceptional. Only thing that I personally would have benefitted from was complimentary conditioner (hair) as there is only shampoo and body wash. This was not an issue as I had some left over from the previous accomodation.

Brilliant location - easy to walk and cycle to and from town & Ahuriri.

The bottle of olive oil was empty. Given that my wife has arthritis, the settee was uncomfortable.

Welcoming and friendly host. Great communication leading up to and on arrival. Great to have milk already in fridge. Bed was comfortable and had a quality sleep

The Cottage's old style and history. It was spacious and very clean and tidy. It is nice and handy to the city and supermarket and food outlets

Because it was very windy for the last three days of our stay the window by the bathroom entrance and the bathroom rattled enough to want pulling something in them to stop the noise.

Comfortable, clean, and classy. up to date amenities, but stylishly keeping with the heritage building. quality linens, comfortable bedding and furniture.

Only that we couldn’t stay longer!

Colenso Cottage was in a perfect location, so handy to town and all shops and cafe's. The cottage was very well presented and immaculately clean and tidy. We had a fantastic 4 nights away from home, we really love Napier as it has so much to offer.
