tranquility, location, key for the main entrance, garden view, desk & chair, breakfast choices at a restaurant nearby, 2 beds with a nightstand lamp in between

well, at a place with such a high rating you’re not expecting bad surprises but the room that Señora Teresa (an utterly mature and self-confident person) proudly presented to us was far from perfect. the surfaces of the furniture hadn’t been cleaned recently and the bathroom turned out to be a bad joke. the ancient shower door was missing a big part so you couldn’t close it at all. there was some pubic hair from a former guest. the bathroom even had a broken window towards the corridor maybe because of the stench coming out of the drain. We don’t need fresh towels every day but any proud owner should only present a room in a decent state.

The hotel is in the center of Chachapoyas and near the main bus station. Clean toilet, shower and room!. Because we had to leave earlier the next day, the owner prepared breakfast for us :). The only thing that could be a little problem was the window in our room. We couldn’t close it. Besides that, everything was ok 👍.

Location, staff, price

While still good, a bit more attention to the cleaning part would make it perfect!

Extremely clean, service with a smile, the lady that runs the place is very nice.

The staff was really kind. They helped us organise trips to Kuelap etc on our own. They allowed us to wait for our bus in the living room, days after we had checked out.

Absolutely everything!!! Staff were amazing and went the extra mile to make us feel very welcome. The place is very close to town and restaurants. The hotel itself was a beautiful building very well kept. The manageress was very efficient and booked us tours straight away despite the fact we arrived late at night.

I wish we could have stayed longer
