Room size was good. Beds comfy. Nice outdoor terrace and indoor bar.
One of our rooms was incredibly hot and had a hot water tank in a cupboard. Big free standing bath on a plinth but inaccessible for older people and no separate shower as an alternative. The other room had a huge window in the bathroom overlooked by next door's kitchen and had clear , non-frosted glass in the window so you had to draw the curtain to use the toilet.

The food was very good with good choices!
The view from the bedroom was superb.
Well our room had an old Victorian type bath which for 78 yr olds was a bit energetic to use! 😢😢
Parking was a little tight when you get people who park without thinking of others!

Location
After ordering our food it took 45 mins for us to get our starters.
Know it's a busy hotel
But it was after 8pm and did seem a bit long. To wait for starters

Breakfast had good choice but was a little cool and the tea was restricted locationwas good with great views from the front where you could sit outside.
Restaurant was really good too.
Our bedroom did not have a window, just a half glazed door into the bathroom where the window was.

The view from our room was outstanding, as was the food in the restaurant. Our room was very spacious.
A lovely hotel in a great location, the walk back up from the town can be a lot if you're older. You pay a fair bit extra for the views, which are incredible. Couple of the staff were a little short when dealing with them, especially at checkout.

There was no lounge area or comfortable seating for after a meal and the weather did not allow us to sit outside.

The food was great - we had a lovely meal in the evening.
The cooked breakfast was also great - but there was little choice of cereal and no yoghurt or fruit
Our room did not have a window - the ensuite did. There were 3 bulbs missing, our shower was cold in the evening and only just warm in the morning. We reported it at the time. It was actually our wedding anniversary so somewhat disappointing. Would go there again for an evening meal, but not to stay.

We first experienced this family hotel before we were married.Nearly 48 years later on returning we weren't disappointed.Although the Bar area was getting renovated the staff went above and beyond when we decided to keep our original booking and they made sure they catered to all our comforts and more. The friendly family atmosphere is amazing,(even the workmen were so friendly and accommodating.)Cannot thank Lia(our waitress)and Vanessa (our manager)for making our stay the precious memory we waited for all these years later.Restaurant,Menu, food, everything was perfection. We will definatley be back.Their motto describes them to a tea!! Come as guests, leave as family..Thankyou all once again...
Everything was amazing, even to our Seaview Room that we wanted.Could not find anything we didn't like..

Didnt have breakfast
The Hotel is in the middle of building work which affects half of the ground floor and the Bar area is blocked off. This was not mentioned in the on-line hotel details and so came as a surprise and disappointment when I arrived as the bar was a comfortable place for a drink and is also a good place to eat as it has a much better atmosphere than the restaurant . Had I known that the building work was happening and that the bar was shut I would not have booked. A very shoddy approach to customer service, as was the staff not knowing that I had paid when I booked the room on line and me having to remind staff on checking out that drinks needed to be paid for when settling the room bill.

This is a great hotel in a fantastic location, with very good food. Vital you ask for a room with a sea view. Very pleasant staff all happy in their work
There were no faults at all. I'd have liked a bedside light.

Hotel is in a fabulous location. Dressed and lit up really lovely for Christmas. Really classy. Very welcoming. Staff lovely and friendly. Room was lovely. Food was incredible. Reasonably priced.
The mattress in our side-sea-view suite wasn’t the best. Though I appreciate mattresses are incredibly subjective. Being really picky, some of the finishes in decor could have been better (corners, edges etc). The bath tap was on a near-constant drip. The room could have been warmer.

room not bad.
staff weren’t very considerate.
booked a table for dinner and was told only had seat available in the bar which was very busy. but noticed there were seats available in main area all that time.
not a lot of info given by staff throughout the stay and found some of them to be a little rude.
staff started blasting music at 8am in the morning waking us up. was just a little annoyed at this. could have realised they had guests staying.
I just expected that for paying over £100 for the night that we would have been treated a little better.
all in all, it’s not really worth the money.

This hotel is one of my favourite places to stay ! For me, walking through the front door gives an instant release of stress and tension , and of anticipation of the many treats in store !
The location is amazing, at the top of a hill overlooking the Irish Sea, but within a couple of minutes walk to the harbour area. The hotel rooms are spacious, comfortable and all in different styles with quirky features. The sea views are stunning and the hotel makes the most of this with window seats and comfy sofas to sit and look out to sea. I also love the outdoor searing area, again looking over the sea - perfect for enjoying a pre-dinner cocktail.
I like to eat in the hotel - the menu is varied and the food delicious - especially the seafood. The atmosphere is relaxed, especially in the bar area and I love the open fire in the winter. Breakfast is really good value with freshly prepared food and a good choice.
The staff are all helpful and the sign on the front door “ arrive as a guest and leave as a friend” is borne out by their friendly attitude to all. This hotel is definitely a hidden gem, which never loses its appeal.
Can not think of anything negative.
