The location is not like the adress in Booking. The House is not at the beach, it is not individual, the picteres in Booking are not real, the cabinets were not clean and full of things from the owners, it was full of aunts, it was having moisture in some premises, two of the showers did not work and the owner was always cheking on us, she was leaving in the basemant at the house.

The location was really good, walking distance to beaches, restaurants and supermarket. Our host was extremely kind and helpful and wanted us to have a nice holiday. The villa had everything we needed and felt like home (nice coffee machine too :)). For 3 ladies, we felt very safe and secure and a really nice area to be in. We got the bus into Chania centre (bus stop just outside the villa) and very easy to get taxi back to villa (€10).

To be honest, i am really surprised that none of the comments posted online for this villa fail to mention the following: 1. You have no privacy! It is a semi-detached house connected with 2 other houses and (in total) 3 basements. So if you are a group who like your privacy, know that there is a shared garage gate, shared garden just marked to ensure you know where your boundaries are (see point 3 below), shared veranda - with a glass divider, and a shared back veranda and yard. 2. Villa is not on the beach It might be 80m away from the sea but it is nowhere mentioned that you need to cross a busy road and an old man's junkyard to reach the sea. The photos with sea view are taken from the top floor attic room. 3. Garden is only for walking You cannot sit in and enjoy the beautiful garden you see in the photos as it is a thin strip of land which mostly serves as a pathway from the parking spot to the house door. The rest of the garden is for the other 2 houses 4. Better be out by 11 am The owner (who by the way lives in the basement below) she came into the house at 11:05 and started tidying up and checking around if we forgot anything to make sure that we no longer delay our departure. Considering that we had 3 kids with us, this was of course done in order to assist. Of course! To cut a long story short, it wasn't the comfortable villa on the beach with a beautiful garden for the kids to play in that we expected to find as we were mislead by the photos and the description available online. So just wanted to warn the other like-minded people that this is what they will be booking.

Great place to stay and great host Helen, who met us with treats and was very helpful throughout our stay. Villa is in perfect condition, very modern and definitely better than most of luxurious hotels. Lot of beaches and restaurants nearby. You would definitely need a car to see all the palaces and since we were too late to hire any in high season we will definitely be back to Villa Ismini again to explore Crete.

Helen is an amazing host who is doing her best to make you feel comfortable. The house is in a perfect condition, sparkling clean and located just a few meters from the sea and 10 min away (by car) from Chania which is very convinient. The location is also perfect if you want to travel in the region (which I would highly recommend as it has the most amazing places to enjoy the sea or the mountains!). Highly recommend Villa Ismini for your stay on Crete!

Hellen, our host, was extremely nice. She met us with refreshments, explained all we needed to know and gave us useful tips about places worth visiting. The villa is very beautiful, with a nice garden in front, three terraces with sea view and very close to the beach. The beds and pillows are comfortable and I liked the walk in dressing room of the master bedroom. I liked this holliday very much!

Booking the lovely Villa Ismini was a trouble free process as the host Georgia was friendly and easily contactable throughout. Georgia met us at the villa to show us around along with the owner Eleni who lives close by in the lower basement, which is useful to help resolve any issues we faced. It was late evening and the owner had kindly baked pastries and provided a fruit platter. The villa is tastefully decorated, immaculate and well equipped. The beds are very comfortable with white linen and towels. The villa is in a good location with great views sun bathing from the terraces, we enjoyed breakfast and lunches on the garden terrace. A small friendly sandy beach bay is close by with a few bars and restaurants. There are a few local shops nearby for provisions with a Lidl some 20-30 minutes walk away. There is a handy bus stop outside the villa gate with a regular bus service to the lively Chania centre and historic harbour.
