The location is great to get around Playa / Mapalomas. The immediate surroundings are quieter,and the outdoor space at the property makes it a great little haven to escape to after a day out. The design, high standard of amenities and amount of space you get for you money, make this property the perfect choice for a group / family.

Not directly related with the property. The property was amazing! Some of the on-site amenities in the complex were unavailable during the period we stayed, as there is some construction happening. However, one of the pools is still available.

Very friendly welcome from Caroline, who communicated with us before, during and after our stay. The house was spotless and has a lovely private garden. Enjoyed the communal pool area and loads of amenities close by.

Hard to find initially. Should have told us it's Gate no.9 in the address. Can hear music from a nearby club but it didn't disturb us.

The property was very nice inside and out. it had everything you would need for a self catering holiday.

This property is sold with the promise of the use of two swimming pools. this is not the case as the larger pool is closed Monday-Friday leaving only a shallow childrens pool which very quickly becomes over crowded. The pool is closed because the president of the facility will not pay for a second life guard. The decision is supported by the majority of the owners of the bungalows in the facility as they do not live there all year so do not care about people who are renting. This should be explained to perspective customers as if I had know in advance I would not have booked my stay. Also the beach is a good 15 minute walk away and if you walk back it’s quite a steep walk. Again, something that should be explained as any one with mobility problems will struggle.

The villa was lovely and clean with all the utensils you needed and the garden was so cute. Barbara and Mario met us at the villa and were both so friendly. We couldn’t get the safe to work and Mario came round straight away to help us. Each room had its own bathroom which was a definite plus.

We were not told at the time of booking that, although the swimming pool was in use, we could not use the sun beds because of Covid. We tried to put our towels down on the side but were told this was not allowed either. The pool was lovely and I just couldn’t understand the reason why we couldn’t use the sun beds as it’s an outside area. The walk to the beach was around 20 mins and it was impossible to get a sun bed down there so found ourselves sitting on the sand each day which was not what we wanted. We had booked this accommodation because of the pool area.

The pictures don’t do justice to Villa Mateo, it’s even better! The garden is simply amazing! and Barbara, the host, is such a lovely lady.

As I said, we loved it. We had some problems with warm water in one of the bathrooms though, and there were no sun beds due to COVID. But we will definitely be back!

Very very friendly host and a amazing house. Every room has its own bathroom and there is even a extra shower and toilet (5 showers and 4 toilets total)! Everything was incredibly clean and the furniture is very nice.
