The Stonehouse is full of charm & character. It has a calm and peaceful energy. Cathy is a wonderful hostess and really helped in organising our itinerary. We would recommend wholeheartedly !

There was nothing not to like !

It is the only authentic house in the area. You cannot stay anywhere else! Cathy the host does everything. Anything you want to do Cathy will be able to provide- wine tours, boat tours, trips away exploring anything and everything. You come here to have the best holiday ever!

Beautiful house, nice pool, owner explains everything about Malta and Gozo, room is large and very clean, location is good to go out, free parking in the streets. Cute little pool.

The Stonehouse is a lovely peaceful oasis in Malta. I was there for a short weekend trip and it was the perfect place. I was upgraded to the penthouse room which was a lovely surprise. Cathy was the perfect host and shared valuable advice on how to spend my time in Malta.

Nothing: I loved everything about The Stonehouse!

Everything was perfect. A stunning modern conversion of a traditional Maltese stone house that exudes stye but also retains all the essential character of the original. And no comfort is sacrificed to style either. The welcome was probably the warmest and most personable I’ve ever had from any hotel or B&B. Every breakfast time was a delight and an occasion for interesting conversation. Housekeeping was fastidious. Bed linen is changed every other day. I’m so sad to leave, it truly felt like home!

Very authentic and well situated, as beautiful as on the pictures. Big spaces and attention on little details. Available and very friendly host with good local tips. Only to recommend!

Parking was minimal but we managed

Cathy is a great host. She makes you feel home an is always happy to give recommendations about trips and what to do on the islands. The location is close to loads of restaurants and bars and if you like to walk a little it is within walking distance to the ferry to Valletta (20-30 Min.). It's accessible by car, although the streets are narrow and parking might be a little tricky. We always found a parking spot right in front of the building (but look for signs at the building across the street for potential parking restrictions on workdays). Good breakfast and a lovely little eating and pool area in the quiet.

Breakfast was very good - especially enjoyed the warmed croissants and fig jam! Fig rolls were a novelty at breakfast! Location was perfect - quiet, and we could come and go as we wanted. The house has been lovingly restored to a high spec.

Cathy is a really good host, she can manage/book/arrange for you and give some really good advice with passion and patience, she wants the best for their guests. The place is gorgeous, we felt like in a castle ! Rooms are cleaned and spacious.

Cathy was a lovely host, who helped us maximise our time in Malta by providing thoughtful recommendations for things to do and see. The house itself was beautiful, spacious and clean, with big rooms, pool area, and a covered terrace wonderful for the included breakfast. The location is great, easily accessible by public transport (bus/ferry), within 1h from all the main attractions on the island, and surrounded by delicious dinner options.

The room was large and clean. Lots of room for suitcases.

We were charged 30 euros cleaning fee. We had to pay for ride to airport. Booking advertised this place as Free airport drop off. False advertising by someone. The property is very far from anything and difficult to find. Must hire ride to get to any places of interest to tourists. Public transportation down long steep hill.

The owner, Cathy, is always open for questions and helpful. We really liked our spacious room and the location of the object is great. It's close to a bus stop, many restaurants are nearby, as well as a long promenade. It's also quiet, no loud noise at night which was great for our relaxing trip.

Cathy’s a brilliant host! She made us feel welcome and sorted out everything for us- from taxi transfers to tours. She’s recommended restaurants and places to go which was super helpful. Breakfast was good and there were coffee machines per floor which was a nice touch when we couldn’t make breakfast on some days. The rooms were very clean and spacious, we had a balcony in our room too which is nice. The decor was so beautiful from the rooms, to the kitchen and the sitting area. There is also a pool which was very clean. There is a supermarket nearby and plenty of restaurants to choose from. We would definitely stay here again next time were in Malta.

Cathy was really welcoming and helpfull. she helped us plan trips and gave us advice on where to go, where to eat, etc. If it wasn't for Cathy, we would've enjoyed Malta a little less. The house and the rooms are really authentic and well maintained. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was big, it has a nice balcony and there was a mini fridge in the room.Excellent location near the Spinola Bay. Close to busstops and -transfers. There is a little pool wich was nice to cool off during the summer. Breakfast was fresh and could be eaten on the terrace outside. Cathy made sure that there were no shortcomings!

So much better than a hotel.... a tastefully restored house with big, comfortable rooms. Breakfast is informal, relaxed and very good, outside on the terrace. The location is perfect, on a quiet street but only a few minutes away from the centre of the town.

The property is absolutely fabulous - it's charming and has everything you could possibly need to enjoy your time in Malta. Cathy is wonderful and a mine of information - which was so helpful. Breakfast was delicious and we can't wait to return!

Nothing - the only suggestion is take ear plugs as there can be people passing by in the evening and we were on the street side - which really was not a problem but worth being aware.

A unique temple-like accomodation (you'd need a whole day to marvel at each and every item there, so it's a real treat if you appreciate things like that) at an excellent location with the staff paying a lot of attention to sugest what you could do in St. Julians and the rest of the islands.

A bit of a reach, but the room looking at the street can get noisy when drunk kids are going home in the early AMs (through the closed windows).

Located in a quite street and close to public transport, to the seaside, to supermarkets. The host, Cathy, makes excellent suggestions and does all she can to have her guests spending a fantastic holiday!

All was really fine!

The guesthouse was just gorgeous. It had such a unique and luxurious feel unlike all the mass hotels nearby. The location (5mins walk to the cute promenade) was great,as was the pool and the breakfast.The guesthouse was clean and welcoming.Cathy was so helpful with organising a taxi for us when we arrived in the early hours of the morning and was easy to contact with any questions.

Cathy was more than willing to help with everything and if something was missing, she could help if you asked.
