Nghaire was a lovely host and her Cottage is perfect for a couple of days with kids in a quite farm environment

Beautifully equipped cosy cottage.with lovely outlooks. Nice to feed the goats and chickens with food provided. The information folders were very detailed and useful. We enjoyed playing games and browsing through the magazines and booklets. Breakfast could be purchased... we had the pancake basket which came with lots of optionns for toppings and the use of a penguin pancake cooker. Lots if fun!

Cottage is on a rural property, lovely setting and very quiet. It is spacious with a separate bedroom and large well appointed bathroom with bulk toiletries- no little plastic bottle waste. There is a fully equipped kitchen. The cottage is tastefully decorated with nice touches throughout. It was good to have easy instructions to use TV. Ngaire and Mark have done a great job.

A very cosy and comfortable stay with access to farm animals at our doorstep! The host has included many thoughtful touches for the guests (providing animal feed, bathroom amenities, stepstool and toys for my daughter, 3d star puzzle for adults (lol), breakfast items like instant oats in the kitchen). The cutest bed was also made up for my 4 year old who loved it! Very friendly host..we really enjoyed our stay! One suggestion for the host - add anti slip strips to shower!

Beautiful property and so peaceful but easy to get into the city

Welcoming host and goats. Good to be in a relaxing setting close to the city. Thank you for the great effort put into making our stay enjoyable.

We can’t say enough about our stay here. Not only was the property beautiful but the animals were a joy to watch and interact with. We especially loved being able to hold and love on the baby goats. our host provided wonderful homemade treats and made us feel welcomed and right at home. If we’re ever in Dunedin again there’s nowhere else we’d want to stay.

Quiet, rural, private, well appointed, warm, comfortable accomodation / retreat - yet v close to town by car. Internet is v good. Didn’t use mobile signal. Host is exceptionally thoughtful and accomodating. Lots of personal touches and little treats from the property and elsewhere. We stayed as a couple, but it’d be a small family ‘hobby farm’ type holiday paradise, with deer goats chooks etc on your doorstep to experience and hand feed etc.

Only issue we had is the turn off, coming from Dunedin effectively in an S bend and on double yellows, from the public main road into the access driveway track. ( This is effectively out of the control of the hosts of course.) You really need to ‘time’ or manage your approach so no one in a hurry is behind you - or you need to overshoot and come back. Google map prior arrival. Best to have heads up beforehand - makes it manageable, and after the first go it was a relative breeze! 😀

Real countryside close to the city. Warm rooms. Board games. Animals.

Great location, friendly owners and the facilities had everything we needed and more. A lot of thought has gone into the property to cater for guests, they went above and beyond. We travelled with young children and it was the perfect stay for a family from the toys suiting a wide age range, to the animals available to feed. It will definitely be our go to stay when we travel to Dunedin.

Very homely, we enjoyed the personal touches and had everything we needed. The beds were super comfy, the shower was great, the cabin was warm and cosy.

There was nothing we didn't like.

Loved the cottage and the space we had. It was great for our little family. We had everything we needed and there were even toys and games. The animals were a highlight. We were really happy with our stay and would definitely stay again and recommend it.

It was lovely and quiet, everything was clean and tidy. There was a good stock of cups and plates so if you wanted to cook you could. Where it was situated on the property you could not see the host property so it felt like you were alone .

A very well cared for and thoughtfully done cottage.very responsive and welcoming hosts. Even most minutest details were looked after. Good communication and cleanliness.Books and toys for toddlers to young kids were provided which were welcome. Seriously the property exceeded all expectations. Definitely will be back. Had a great stay.

So peaceful and relaxing. We had a 2 night stay and ordered breakfast which was amazing. Lots of beautiful little touches to make us feel special and at home.

We had some very friendly Boer goats in the paddock next to the cottage, they were real characters, we enjoyed feeding them some nuts, and really enjoyed the quiet setting. The hosts are lovely people, who really try hard to make your stay comfortable. Would stay here again, and its very handy to the city.

One of our sons stayed on the fold out couch with a topper memory foam mattress on top, he only stayed with us one night, but said he didn't find it overly comfortable.
