We loved the size of the home and the location. Guest services were great as well. A few things lacking were the appliances and items provided. The refrigerator did not work well at all. There is a note about it when you arrive but we stopped at Ingles on the way in and loaded up on food and drinks for the week so we were unaware that it took so long to cool down. Nothing was cold for at least 24 hours and was never truly ‘cold’. The ice maker took forever to make ice as well. The dryer kept over heating and turning off as well. There were no extra trash bags provided but stated we must bag all trash before putting in can. This is simple yes, but having to purchase a giant box of bags for a week stay shouldn’t be. The floor was quite gross as well. Everything else was pretty clean but the floor definitely has not been cleaned in a while. Guest services did offer to come clean but we just vacuumed it so we weren’t disturbed during our vacation time. They do not state that the driveway is quite steep and the front of our vehicle was torn off trying to back in the first day. These items are an annoyance but if you know before you go, it’s not a big deal. The house was still good and the kids and adults all LOVED the creek and even went tubing down it quite a few times. House is close to other locations such as good hiking, Deep Creek Falls, gem mining, Lake Glenville and more.

We had to move out after the first night. The home was damp and smelled moldy. The registers were coated with blackish dust. We reached out to Vacasa and were told we would be contacted by the Local Team. We have yet to hear from them.

As we were coming up the stairs my husband's foot went through a big hole in the stair that he did not see because he was carrying luggage. They got someone out pretty quickly to check the stair but it was not able to be fixed during our stay. However, they have replaced the banisters around the porch which is nice and was very needed. They could have replaced stairs in the process. When the guy came to try and fix it, it was rotten all the way through. Thank God my husband didn't go through that hole all of the way! The upstairs is so very hot, while the downstairs is cold. Haven't noticed that before so that's why I'm noting it. Also some type of flying bug is nesting near the ceiling above the dining room table. Not good to have insects dropping down into the food and drink when you're eating at the table. We've stayed here several times throughout several years. We love this house that's why we've come back, but it was very lackluster this time. We've always wanted this house because of the river, rocking porch and location. Very easy to get to all of the other places to visit. Nice to have your own private area by the river with the swing, picnic table, fire pit and access to fishing. Not trying to be critical of this house because we love it. That's why we chose it several times. It just needs love. Hoping they get it together and maybe we can stay here again.

Great house and great location for our WCU graduation weekend. Clean, stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and spaces. No problems or complaints. Would stay again.

The house and location are absolutely perfect. The only issues that we had were the water has a strong smell of sulfur (from the sinks, toilets, showers, washing machine, etc...). Nothing quick showers and bottled drinking water couldn't remedy. Other than that issue, would 10/10 recommend!

House was perfect for an April fishing trip. Unbelievable location right on the stream and has everything needed. I would recommend and will return.

The property was everything that we expected. The location and beautiful scenery complimented a very well maintained and fully equipped cozy cabin. Hearing the river run just outside made us feel like we were close to nature. Highly recommend it.

Home is very large, with a great layout for multiple guests. Spectacular views of the mountains and river. Location was perfect for our plans, convenient to alot of shopping, fishing, train ride, restaurants, and Casino. Relaxation was easy!

The property is great and will be our number 1 choice for our next adventure. The only thing we would change is the time of year. Since we are fly fishermen early June or sometime after October 1st would be better fishing. The summer months are a little slow in the river as far as fly fishing goes but we did manage to catch a couple.

This is the most peaceful spot there is. The river view is wonderful and we spent an entire day on the porch watching the boaters and fishermen. The house was roomy and accommodating.

This cabin was perfect for our annual fly fishing trip. Four of us stayed in the cabin - beds were very comfortable and everything was there that we needed. The river was running fast one day due to rain but we were able to enjoy fishing every day using waders. Two bits of advice - (1) bring water because the well water in the cabin is high in sulfur and (2) if you have any questions about the stay, call Vacasa directly because no one responds through VRBO. We would definitely stay there again!

The view of the river was great. 2 of the 3 bedrooms and baths were very spacious. The 3rd bedroom was tight and the bath was in the hall , nit attached. The was mold in one shower, food debris on the living room carper. The fireplace did not work. too many stairs for seniors.

This home was exactly as described and pictured! Beautiful furniture, great setting right on a world class fly fishing river! Great setup, well-stocked and prepared, with plenty of paper towels, tp, towels, plates, silverware etc. Coffee on the deck in the AM was spectacular! The home was perfectly located to visit our sons for football weekend at Western Carolina Univ. Would def book this home again.

This is our second time staying here and we loved it just as much this time as we did the last. Some improvements were made since our last visit like painting touch up and improvement to the wiring on the front porch fencing. Clearly there was a improvement in small maintenance to keep the house fresh looking and up to date. You will love this house and the pictures displayed are very accurate. Gorgeous views of the River !!!!

Loved it and plan to return! It is so close to grocery, gas, and food, and only 20 min from the casino. My husband, my 1.5 year old and I stayed here and really enjoyed it. I loved that the big wrap around porch has a gate to close off the stairs so I didn’t have to worry about my son. The home had everything we needed and is perfect for a family or a few couples to get away. My parents and grandparents actually rented the house a few doors down (the second to last house) and their vacasa home was very nice as well. It was a very nice, family oriented street and we all felt safe and at peace next to the river. Vacasa was very helpful with any questions or concerns and we love renting through them for our vacations!

Sitting on the porch listening to the river was relaxing and then hanging out by the fire pit in the evening was wonderful.

This is the 3rd time we have stayed at this beautiful cabin. We truly love everything about it, the 2 master suites, the large porch, but our favorite is of course the river. The only thing is there was a slight smell in the kitchen that lingered and the pillows need to be replaced. This won’t stop us from booking it again.

We love this house & its location. It is right on the river and near our friends that own a house down the road. The space is nice & spread out so you don't even really hear other people in the house.
The house was very clean except there was an odd odor. It kind of smelled like something burned in the kitchen and was still lingering. The was also a musty odor in the laundry area but you couldn't smell it until you opened the doors.
Finally, we called for maintenance on Friday due to a toilet leaking and no one had come by the time we checked out Sunday. We had to turn the toilet on and off to use it so it did not flood the bathroom floor. Just an inconvenience.
We will definitely stay again next year when we venture back for our annual trip :)

Relaxing River Stay
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the sound of the river was very relaxing. The long driveway is narrow with the river on one side and thick brush on the other side. Parking is an adventure….sharp right turn, 45 degree upward and then levels at top, quick stop before hitting the wall. Gas logs didn’t seem to work (might have been out of gas) and we couldn’t get local TV to work, so we watch a lot of Netflix. The house was beautiful and well kept with an awesome upstairs Shower Room! We look forward to staying here again!

It was nice and clean, however, the porch needed cleaning. Only disappointment was the traffic noise across the river. It was often hard to hear the river. Lovely place and good fishing available.

Beautiful river retreat
This is a beautiful home with a gorgeous direct view of the river. The river is wide with just enough speed to make wonderful soothing sounds. The patio is exactly as described, long and wrap around. Neighbors are close by but except for a wave or two everyone kept to themselves. Kitchen is very well stocked, not overstocked, which is nice. Quality items are in the kitchen, not junk. All the appliances are beautiful and new. Parking is easy with slight incline to park below house. Road to house is gravel and easy to access. Garbage pick up is done privately so no need to put out for service. House was very clean upon arrival. Communication with Vacasa was amazing . It included a text from a representative that was very nice and available during our entire stay. The fire pit and swing and picnic area are directly across the road from the house and directly on the water. We will definitely be back. We have absolutely no complaints about this gorgeous rental. No hesitations at all.
