It is like a winter fairytale!!! We loved it. The property is located at the end of the road thus it is totally quiet and peaceful there. No cars passing by. The house is nicely decorated and is very clean. It gives a feeling that you are at home. You do not even have to go out - the view outside the window is already perfect enough. The kitchen ist very narrow and a bit outdated but still has everything needed. We also used tipi one day, very good addition. And of course sauna - nice and clean.

Well, it would have been good to have a dryer, but I understand that there is no place for that.

We loved everything about Hillankukka, it’s the most magical cabin in the woods. Really clean and everything you need is there. One thing to know is that you don’t need to buy a sledge as there are lots already in the bike shed to use.

Nothing it was perfect.

Cute cottage, good location, sauna is always a bonus

Front door gave us issues when trying to open it. Pretty small kitchen to be able to cook for 7 people.

Everything, very nice and clean cottage, all properly working. Many facilities (sledges, fat bikes, etc). Helpful and reactive owner.

An extra sink eg in the shower room would be very helpful staying with 2 families.

We were tired after a drive though snowstorm and got the key to The cabin a bit early. The children were hungry but we came to a cabil who wasn't clean and there wasbt any tolietpaper. I accidently called the owner to complain. Then came the cleaner who was upset that we came early... It didnt feel good for us.

It was a beautiful, very well equipped cottage in an idyllic, peaceful location. There was everything on site one could possibly need.

There was nothing I didn't like

The cottage is beautiful, great atmosphere, near every key places. Summer hiking routes just right there, and the shop and services were also near. Reindeer were visiting the yard too. Great for families, very quiet place. Kitchen well equipped with utensils. Overall great place.

The key must be picked up from Ylläsavain office which is open only from 10-16.00. After that, there are specific instructions on how and where to get the key. After 700 km drive with young children and arriving in the evening, the last thing that you want to find is that your key isn’t available. They started to fix it immediately when we called but it took a while. There wasn’t enough toilet paper or kitchen towel there. We asked for more and they confirmed that the amounts are limited.
