The location was exceptional. There is direct access to a nice trail that leads to the beach in 2 minutes and leads to some other beaches if you want to hike for a few kilometers. The unit was very comfortable with everything that was needed. Jacques had several items pre-stocked in the kitchen, like coffee, drinks, and some basics. We spent a lot of time sitting on the private terrace enjoying the garden. It was great place to stay and we already want to come back for a longer stay with Jacques. In sum, I give this the highest recommendation.

The mattress was a little more firm than I like but my wife thought it was comfortable.

Thé house was just perfect for a couple with the great outdoor kitchen, very well equipped, super nice bathroom and very comfortable bed. the A/c worked perfectly and the extra touchés such as the jacuzzi and treats offered by Jacques our host were so nice to have. Everything was super clean, a quick little walk out the back and you arrive on the beach for sunsets or morning coffee… a dream location. Jacques, the owner, is extremely present and attentive to any questions. Would not hesitate to recommend his rental space.

Nice small house with a spacious garden. The house is well kept and well equipped. We had a wonderful two weeks stay. The beach is just a few steps away. There is a nice jacuzzi in the back yard. The outdoor kitchen is great. The owner Jacques is very friendly and welcoming. They stocked some coffee and groceries in the fridge to get you going for the first day. It is the perfect place to relax from your daytrips. Nearby is a gas station with small supermarket. And the town of Deshaies is a two minute drive. Time flies when you are having fun. We really did not want to leave. If you are looking for a private comfortable hideout, we highly recommend it.

There was nothing we did not like. We stayed for two weeks. Only wished we could have stayed longer.

The name of this place says it all, it was a Creole Dream! The location is amazing, it’s not even advertised but you can see the ocean from the porch of the bungalow! Even though you are off the main drag that runs through Deshais, once you are in the bungalow you feel like you are in the middle of nature. The sounds of the ocean and at night the sounds of frogs are all you hear when you are on the property. During the day hummingbirds are frequent visitors to the many flowers on the property. You are a literal 1 minute walk from the best beach on Basse-Terre, and also a 3 minute walk from a wonderful little Creole barbecue joint called Kaz a Pat, where the food is delicious (and it’s rated as one of the top places to eat in the area). The property has an awesome, fully functional and stocked kitchen as well as a fully functional jacuzzi and outdoor + indoor shower. We stayed here for the first half of our honeymoon hoping it would be a secluded and romantic spot where we could feel alone without being too far away from some civilization, and I think this spot exceeded our expectations. Our days were filled with excursions to the national park and nearby beaches, along with just enjoying the Grande Anse beach, which is truly spectacular. Jacques is the nicest host, and even though this little vacation house is on his property, I assure you that you never feel his presence unless you need help for something, this was something we were concerned about it since it was our honeymoon, and it was not an issue, the bungalow is very private. We arrived later than expected, but were surprised to find the bungalow all lit up with a nice little welcome mat for us, the jacuzzi on and bubbling, and the fridge fully stocked with some snacks to get us through the first night. He even included a bottle of rum and local fruity rum drink “Planteur” and coffee which actually lasted us through our stay. Overall we were incredibly impressed with everything and plan on coming back.
