Pubic hair in wash hands basin heating turned off until certain times room 77 taps actually move from side to side and I removed cobwebs from around the bathroom door frame also black hair on bathroom floor plus the bar had run out of nearly every draught beer and larger

Absolutely fantastic..staff was excellent. The pod was amazing.. the hotel is lovely.. the rooms are so nice and clean..the spa and spa treatments are excellent.. had a fantastic stay..the staff helped me the whole way with my proposal. I'm so thankful for all of them. Really friendly and highly recommend..

My single room was quite spacious compared to a room I had a few weekends ago

It’s an old building and in need of tlc and modernisation but it’s clean and everyone was very friendly

The location was perfect and the seaview from our room was wonderful. Great for a stay in Paignton at any time of the year!

Rooms and hotel grand but a little dated in places. All areas clean and comfortable and staff lovely. Didnt like the extra charge to use the pool and having to book a time slot to use it! Beware that the pool is not included in the price, but overall a great stay.

Breakfast was excellent but our stay was special because of the staff. They were absolutely fantastic. We also had an afternoon tea which I would recommend to everyone, it was delicious. We had a lovely room, and the shower was the best we’ve ever had.

The facility is great. The German lady at the reception is the best who gave us a warm greeting and great service. The dinner at the restaurant is fab.

Heating not going in the room I told reception and they said there was another heater in our wardrobe so that kept us warm. We wanted a double bed. But as we got to the middle for a hug quite uncomfortable so we moved apart.

The staff were amazing and so friendly. Amazing location. Great parking. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great and I was very well looked after by a brilliantly friendly gentleman…I should have asked his name to mention him by on it a review…in essence the staff went above and beyond during my stay. Will be back.

We completely understand why there wasn't any but we missed the evening entertainment.

It was kept lovely and warm all the time. Staff were kind, helpful and pleasant. So good to have some music in the evenings. Food was lovely.

I had a really lovely couple of nights here. My room had a lovely view with a very comfortable bed. All the facilities were excellent. The staff were superb, friendly and made me feel very welcome. Everything about this hotel is amazing. I will definitely be going back.

Did get a little chilly in the bedroom due to very low temperatures outside but there was a heater in the wardrobe.

Sea view was great. Dinner was well cooked and enjoyable.

Protect privacy and ask to move if given interconnecting room when not required.

had an excellent large side sea view bedroom. Food was excellent as we ate dinner and breakfast. Plenty of room to park. Great location to walk into the town and opposite the beach. Friendly staff.

Starting to look a little tired in places

The staff were courteous and really pleasant to interact with.

I ordered room service as I had travelled quite a way and along with it a dry glass of rose wine. The wine was sweet not dry which meant I had to go all the way back downstairs to get it changed. Breakfast was average, tinned mushrooms which didn't taste nice (really easy to buy fresh?) and my egg was very underdone. I didn't have time for asking for changes. On arrival late in the evening I was asked to go back out to the car to put a parking ticket on it. It was freezing cold and very windy and not what I wanted to do after a 4.5hr journey! My registration was on my booking so this was unpleasant and an unnecessary step. The room was fine but on opening the drawers the linings were stained. Such as easy thing to fix!

The staff are always nice and friendly and the beds are comfy. Plus there’s always a bath.

Inside does seem a lot dated and could be modernised.

We were very comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were both excellent, and the evening entertainment was pleasant. A very nice stay thank you.

The sea view room was just the roof for us, and the bed mattress wasn’t overly comfortable and the room was outdated, marks all over the walls, old hairdryer, no fridge. And I was scammed through booking.com after I booked this stay, so that was already a bad start 😡

Perfect location just across from pier and next to beach. Great to have parking included in a spacious car park. Very good value. Single room was a good size and well furnished. Very clean room and bathroom and comfortable bed. Good water pressure. Gym and pool facilities looked brilliant but didn't have time to try these. Overall would confidently come here again.

Bit of a faff as booking.com payment didn't show up so both check in and check out slower whilst it was queried. Staff very courteous about it and quickly got confirmation. Pain to have to go back to car to put in parking permit as was bucketing down with rain when I arrived - would prefer if reg was just taken at desk. TV bracket could do with being longer so can see TV square to the bed or just have a smaller TV. My room had a shower combi thing with bath taps which I couldn't get to work-this may just be me! Bath lovely instead though. Lotion dispenser was empty in bathroom. All only minor niggles.

I would not say that this hotel was wheelchair friendly, the lift was too small for the wheelchair and there was steps.. The wheelchair did not fit through the door to our room..!! Made things difficult and caused me too stress…

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean.

It's a bit tired, could do with a refurb. Also a lot of coach parties which some people might not like, it didn't bother us.
