Microwave and Fridge were clean. Bed was comfortable. Helpfulness of owner describing area.
Mouldy shower with poor flow, cistern took ages to fill up, dirty louvre window, window that wouldm't close, sofa bed uncomfortable, shabby decoration and furniture, creaking floorboards, long balcony ( not really used as didn't feel comfortable sitting/passing near another persons bathroom). Also our room overlooked pub car park where someone seemed to be continually renovating an old van which at times was noisy. Nowhere near a bus route.

Liam is een gedreven gastheer en maakt het je graag naar de zin. Wij hadden een kamer zonder balkon gereserveerd maar kregen zonder bij bijbetaling een upgrade naar een kamer met balkon, Liam serveert een goed ontbijt met een keuzemenu.
Nette kamer en goed bed mooi uitzicht over zee. 10 minuten lopen en je bent in Paigton waar je diverse keuzes hebt om te eten en om de pier te bezoeken ( hier moet je wel van houden want het wel allemaal echt Engels. Mooie plek om de omgeving te verkennen.

We were down to visit family for a couple of days. Bayside is located just yards from Preston Sands. Our two rooms have balconies that allowed us to sit and enjoy the sea view with a glass of red, despite the less than favourable weather in early April. Bayside May look a little tired in places but it was very comfortable, clean and has off-road parking. Liam is an excellent, helpful and very friendly host. Being a native, he is great for local info and advice. He also cooks a great breakfast! Overall, an excellent base from which to enjoy the English Riviera.

Liam's and staff very friendly. Hotel was good value for what it cost. Breakfast was brilliant and plenty to eat and could have cooked or continental. We wanted to leave early on Sunday and we were offered an early breakfast a lovely gesture

We were on a tight budget so were overjoyed to find this place. Fantastic value for money. Great location, easy access to Paignton but with the quiet of Preston sands. Liam and the staff were great, warm and friendly and so helpful. Liam is a very considerate host. The kitchenette was great. Plenty of storage in the bedrooms. Ample parking. Lovely to be able to step outside and stroll down Preston beach.
No temperature control in the shower was a problem. However Liam did his best to troubleshoot and assured us he’s going to be replacing the shower. The amount of heavy fire doors was annoying.

Everything was lovely from the initial greeting through to checking out. Liam is lovely and couldn’t do enough for us, he makes an amazing breakfast too! If you need anything just ask and it appears! He’s very knowledgeable about the area too - very helpful. There is ample free parking and a lovely outside area to sit and have a coffee and watch the sea. A nice stroll along the Prom into Town, not far at all and the beach is a minute away - brilliant. The rooms are good with seating area, and a unit with a microwave, fridge and toaster.

You could have breakfast in your room,as there was a kitchenette with microwave,cutlery,plates etc.
We chose to have breakfast cooked by our host,Liam.You could have a full english, or choice of omelette.Cereal,fruit and toast was also available.
Our apartment had a bedroom,a bedroom/dining room,Television in each,a balcony ; the bathroom had an excellent shower and sink.
Everything was ok.

Room was comfortable and had everything you needed. Large balcony overlooking the sea. Great sea views. Had kitchenette, fridge and microwave with grill. Bed was comfortable. Towels and toiletries provided. But what was really exceptional was the service. Owner, Liam and his son went over and above to make you feel welcome and had everything you needed. Nothing was too much trouble and the breakfast was the best we have ever had. Perfect poached eggs, good selection, cooked to order. Fresh products and beautifully presented. Would highly recommend.
Everything was as expected and more. It is an old building but thats normal for the area.

The location is excellent! We had a suite with sea views and a little kitchenette.
The bed was massive and super comfy!
The shower wasn’t the best, as the water pressure was quite low, but adequate enough. Apart from that very small niggle everything else was fantastic!

We loved it it was nice seeing Liam again the way Liam has done his rooms out amazing all and had a brilliant stay would gome back again 100 percent it was a nice touch with the kitchen in the rooms

Myself and my Husband stayed here for his 50th birthday. Just a chilled relaxing break away. The owner Liam was very hospitable nothing was too much trouble he Even put balloons and a card in our suite. Breakfast was very good.. Thanks Liam.

Lovely breakfast nice and hot served on hot plates, which makes a big difference. Large room with lounge. Complete kitchen facilities including a microwave. The view was amazing it was sea facing, with a balcony which had table and chairs, also convenient for walking to Torquay and only ten minutes in the car to Brixham.
Nothing bad even though it’s next to the pub it was quiet.

Liam and the staff were very friendly, breakfast was great, you were really treated like you mattered, not just like a number like so many other places these days. Outstanding facilities and great value for money.
The shower was very small and the lowest temperature was still a bit hot. Toilet didn’t flush well and took a very long time to run through
