Nice location, 15 minutes walking from the ferry to Zanzibar. Not a 5-star place, but fine to rest your head within walkable distance from the ferry. Friendly and helpful staff.

Bathroom walls were dirty and if you closed the door all the way you would not be able to get it opened. There was no handle.

We arrived late because our plane was late. We were accomodated however our information was not on a computer and we were asked what price we were confirmed at. I did not have a printed copy of the price on my confirmation. I guess we got the lowest price room as we were told we were on the roof. Six floor up with no elevator and we were in one of two rooms on the roof. Two bunk beds like the picture showed. Place was clean. Bathroom was clean however shower did not work, only the lower fuacet for the feet had a water flow. Mosquito nets were clean and covered the bed. The view was nice at night and in the morning it gave us a good feel for being downtown and in a busy area. Safari Inn is out of the way in a dead end but the price was right since we just needed to lay our heads until the 9:30 a.m. ferry to Zanzibar. Breakfast was included which was great because we had not had any chance to stop at an ATM or change money. The breakfast room was quite nice and the first floor with lobby and pathways was also very nice and interesting tile work. The food was good, fruit was served with breakfast. The service was good and very friendly. All in all, I would stay there again but would pay more to not be on the roof. Location and price were perfect for our purposes. I have no doubt the rooms on the other five or six floors were nice. We opted for the bunk beds being three of us. Safari Inn was less than half the cost of any other places near the ferry.
