Great breakfast every morning: you could select from multiple choices like full English breakfast or salmon flat bread. Very cosy breakfast room. Also the building is beautiful and the views were great on the street with old houses and the castle from the small window. The hotel is close to the bridge and the old town and there are many pubs and restaurants in a five minutes walk. On the opposite side of the street there is the pub "Holy GrAle" with very interesting choices of beer on tap. Taxis are just around the corner and the railway station is about 15 minutes walk away. The street at the hotel is quite quiet, very little traffic. The room was beautiful and large and bathroom clean and modern with a good shower. We arrived early and yet got a room where to leave our luggage and to use the toilet although the room wasn't totally ready. The service was all time very kind and helpful.

There isn't anybody at the reception so you should remember to ask what you need on breakfast or bother ringing the door bell button at the hall.

Super location delicious breakfast comfy beds and sunlit garden area at the back which was as if we had landed in heaven for its peace.

The Castle View is a lovely traditional B&B on a cobbled street just up the hill from the pedestrian bridge. The location was great right near the centre and across the river from the castle and cathedral. The room was spacious with a very comfortable bed, modern bathroom and a big walk-in shower. The breakfast was good with plenty choice and the staff were very friendly. Will definitely stay here again.

Excellent location in quiet area but in heart of town, short walk from shopping, Market Square and pubs, restaurants, cathedral, university buildings, walking trails, train station, buses and taxis.

This is a very snappily decorated, perfectly located and well staffed venue. The breakfast was delicious and thoughtfully prepared. The staff was the ultimate in customer service; we felt welcomed and appreciated on a personal level.

A little tricky to park.

We aborted our stay when we arrived and found that there was absolutely no parking available and heavy on street parking restrictions. We had specified that we needed secure parking on the booking site and this property came up as an option. Mistakenly? We were not reimbursed
