The property was very cosy and spotlessly clean, we were greeted at the gate on arrival by Jill and she couldn't have been more helpful. There was a really nice welcome hamper and fresh flowers awaiting us. The Little barn is in a lovely location with plenty of walks direct from the door. Overall a very relaxing stay and we would definitely recommend this property.

Little Barn is amazing. It has everything you need in wonderful surroundings. The views are amazing. The owners are fantastic, so friendly and so helpful. Nothing is too much trouble!

The only thing missing was a washing line/maiden apart from that it was perfect fir us!

It was lovely to be met at the gate by the cottage owner Liz, who then directed us through the farm and met us at the cottage door. The cottage is small, but perfectly adequate for 2 people, and has everything we needed for our stay. There are beautiful views across fields, with walks from the doorstep, and a golf course just over the fence. The cottage is in the grounds of an old farm which is now a working livery.... There is a manège at the rear of the cottage where horses can be seen exercising, and they pass by the front of the cottage when going to and from the fields..... Liz and Phil had the right balance of being there if we needed them, but respecting our privacy. We would highly recommend staying at Little Barn as there's plenty to do in the area, our favourites being Chatsworth House and Bolsover Castle.... we would definitely stay again

This is a small self contained one bedroom cottage that is set on a working farm but distant from roads and noises. It has a patio with great views over the Amber Valley countryside. There are lovely walks from it that can be interrupted with visits to local pubs.

There was nothing to dislike

It was a perfect stay for myself, husband and our working Labrador. The accommodation was sublime, you would never tell that its dog friendly by how clean and pristine it was. The underfloor heating has us sold, it was fantastic after a long day on the Peaks. The walks onsite were gorgeous, especially early morning listening to the bird song. Liz and family were absolutely delightful and the best hosts. The welcome hamper was a finishing touch! We will 100% return on our next visit to Derbyshire.
