Santos is a great host. You feels like home in Kilimani House. The room was very nice and the bed was very comftable. Everyrthing was good.

Amazing guesthouse in the middle of the local village, 10 minutes walking from the tourist area, with beautiful and clean rooms. The first floor room has excellent views and you can relax on the balcony like a boss, can't miss that! Santos is a real top host, super helpful, and she makes the best breakfast on the island, by far! We'll definitely come back next time we're on the island, this place is a must!

The accomodation is stunning! The room was very spacious and unique, I haven't seen such accomodation before. The location was close to the beach, to the bus Station and it was pretty quite. Santos are really really friendly and helpful. I would 100% recommend and I would go back anytime.

Absolutely nothing to complain about. Important notes though for other travellers, roads are pretty rough once in town, wouldn't recommend a small car, the second entrance is not really passable even with a small 4x4 so go in the first if you're travelling in a rental, parking is limited to 1 guest vehicle so check in advance, just in case and be cognisant of the fact that you're staying in the local village, be respectful (don't blare your rock n roll - the guests downstairs?) and drive carefully on their roads - there are children, bicycles etc. so be aware.

Great location. Very friendly people. I could relax and visit the extraordinary beaches of Zanzibar. Nothing luxurious, but exactly what is promised in the listing. Definitely would return.

A bit higher water pressure in the shower and toilet would definitely improve the experience. Other than that, absolutely no complains.

the property is sooo beautiful! the guest house is in the middle of a green paradise with all different kinds of plants around the house , you really feel like you are in an oasis !! santos and Juma are such nice people, super friendly and very helpful regarding all kinds of questions.

the bathroom didn’t have soap or a towel who ch for me personally wasn’t a problem since i had those things with me. but In case other travellers don’t, that might be an asset

The owners are kind and welcoming. Their dog is very sweet. The area is gated, it's a comfy garden area with seashells and plants around. The bed is large and comfortable. The bedroom, bathroom, and private patio are spacious and nice.

The rooms are screened-in with no walls so you can hear everything from outside.. sometimes the baby who lives there is crying, music is playing, the dog is barking, or another guest is talking loudly in their room. You have to keep the curtains open at night so the breeze can get through, so there is not much privacy. It is somewhat tough to walk through the rural area from the main road to get there. There is no kitchen. Restaurants on the main road are about a 15-minute walk (I wouldn't do that walk through the rural area in the dark alone so ate dinner around 5:30 every night).

Felt like home! Hosts attend all our needs very efficiently and kindly. Makes the place very familiar. We enjoyed a comfy bed, really fast wifi and great tasty breakfast with all we need in the morning (coffee, tea, egs, fresh fruits, local bakery, bread etc). Hosts provide anything you need and nicely give useful advice regarding all our questions. We walked through the authentic local community of the island to get to the beach.

The hosts made my first visit so unforgettable that I had to return now for another visit. Love the quiet calm oasis and the breakfast is absolutely to die for.

Location is quiet and calm but quite disconnected from the shops and beach.

Santos ( from Malaga) and Juma (Zanzibar) and her little son are so friendly. The house and garden very nice, outside touristic area, between the locals. Santos prepared the best breakfast from the island.

I loved the location. Away from the main road. Hidden in the village surrounded by the locals. Friendly and helpful hosts.

The room is built for the wind to go through it, but some nights there was little wind so it got really hot.

A beautiful house with really big rooms, bathrooms and terraces. Santos and Juma are extremely nice and caring, it was a big pleasure to meet them :) will definitely come back!

It was very romantic,full of local character,great bed,you felt you slept in nature with the wooden structures and roof,all beautiful and Juma and Santos and their baby very adorable and helpful.it is easy to find because they've put signs as to where to turn from the main road,it was a overall a greatreat stay, many thanks

The best experience ever, especially when traveling alone!!! Others said it before and I can only confirm that I felt welcomed as part of the family from the first moment on. Santos and Juma are such warm and welcoming hosts, they made me feel right at home and even showed me around in person on the first day so I could get my bearings. It’s nice to be able to discover part of the village on foot on your own other than staying front row in one of the hotels and never see anything much of the village live. Santos and Juma gave many recommendations on where to go or what to do and booked tours for me not only for a reasonable price but also to places that don’t usually appear on any of the programs. The breakfast was unbelievably tasty, rich and delicious and lasted me the whole day. The little bungalow with the bed on stilts was adorable and I felt like a queen in that great double bed that had a wonderful mattress. All in all an experience I’d never wanted to have missed - muchísimas gracias otra vez por estos días fantásticos!!!!

Clean and eco-friendly facility surrounded by plants and trees. Its located in the village which is 15min walking from the center and the beach, good for those who want to be far from the touristic spots and sleep/wake up in peace ane calmness. Make sure to have a torch when you go back at night, its dark but its safe. breakfast is healthy and rich, offered for 5$ per person. Santos & Juma are very friendly and helpful, they will suggest you restaurants, bars, beaches etc. Just ask for it :)

Sometimes no hot water in the shower, because its based on solar panels. But this wasn't a big deal for us

Wonderful place,I stay here for my 15 nights holiday, in a Garden of heaven, with Santos and Juma , warm and welcoming hosts. Great breakfast and lunch, fresh and tasty. Aluna Beach at 10 minutes walk, really nice people from the village and extraordinary kids. Very safe area and location. A trip to remember

Great owners, always willing to help with any questions or to arrange any transportation or anything else. The breakfast is probably the best I've had in a guest house, just so good!! The room was big and very nice. The area is quiet and there's lots of nature around.

It can be a bit difficult to find. I got used to it though and kind of enjoyed going through the village instead of staying all the time is very touristic areas. Having hot water would have made it perfect.

Juma and Santos, amazing and helpful owners. Wonderful and quiet place surrounded by plants and fruit trees. Very local atmosphere. Very good wifi connection. People from the local village are friendly. Just get a torch if you come back on foot at night. :)

There were no things I liked about this property

The location is very far from the beach and any tourist attraction. At the same time, the road to the beach or to the main road is very difficult and unlit, making it difficult to access the hotel even during the day. The reserved room is located on the ground floor of the building and upstairs lived the owners who also have a child of about 3 months who made noise all night which is why I left this property without being reimbursed at least the amount for the day already paid. I am totally dissatisfied with this location and I do not recommend it.

Calm, nice area, good atmosphere, nice staff, tasty breakfast. The staff did everything you asked for, very clean rooms, very nice stay, even if the bosses were not there. :)

It's a Lil bit far to the beach, but also a good exercise and a good opportunity to explore the area. So I even liked it.
