The owner was friendly and helpful over the phone and told me that he had cancelled the booking online. However the booking was never cancelled even after several reminders, phone calls and messages through Booking.com.

The booking deposit was not refunded as the owner had promised.

Good place, quiet and clam. The accommodation is not bad at all, but some rooms are very congested.

I booked for one week and then extended it for one more week. The owner charged me 60 dollars more than expected. He promised me a long-term accommodation and later wanted me to leave the place, so he offered me a higher amount. When questioned, his response was arrogant, but after he reduced the amount. I had no option but to vacate immediately. Thankfully, due to a friend's help, I could find another accommodation instantly.

Friendly staff and guests like family. Kitchen is very good with many cooking seasoning.

Woofer staff lovely. Building has character ++. I asked for a 2nd duvet and received it.

No paper towels or towel in toilets/showers to dry hands on for first night and first day of my stay. I think at some point there was a hand towel in the shower I used. I bought myself a hand sanitiser to feel comfortable/clean. Only one pillow on beds and I suspect mattresses need upgrading although I did sleep ok. The manager lady was quite in a grump with some messy patrons and I suspect it was her that thumped on shower door first morning I had shower there, saying in an unfriendly voice "5 minute showers". There was no signage or verbal advice of such a thing prior. I had a good shower, unaware I was expected to be hasty.

Proximity to centre of town

Dark and dingy stairs, cluttered dining room. Showers were cold. Smoke drifted up from outside area.

Great location, only few minutes on foot to the city centre. Old building with lots of charm - retro and nice to have a garden a quiet places, much appreciate to have some tea and coffee available. The staff is friendly and calm.

Not very clean, don't look under your bed... - The breakfast is not for people who are diary free and no gluten free bread, the bathroom downstairs is cold, very old and not convenient, the shower is almost cold, there are no tissues to wipe the hands, the tap is wobbly and for one of the shower, you can only put your belongings on the floor outside. A door between the cold corridor and the bathroom will be useful, the sheets are used and grey. No spare blankets in winter! It seems that nobody takes charge of this building to repair, insulate...
