Babacar and Ouly were perfect hosts, I felt at home, looked after and very safe. I loved my room, the bed was very comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean. The meals were very tasty and filling. I would Highly recommend a stay here whilst you are in Dakar.

Great place! Wonderful! Marvellous! One of my best places I ever stayed in Senegal and the world! Ouly and Babacar are so very wonderful hosts and very good cute persons, soooo friendly, helpful, and, Babacar speaks very good english, Ouly speaks very good french. They replied very quick to my messages, Babacar welcomed me, and showed me the way to their beautiful apartment, in front of the nearby great supermarket. The apartment is very big, clean, and had all to offer, what I was needing. How nice! A big terrace also! It’s sooo quiet, I slept wonderful. The internet wifi is strong and stabile. There are several supermarkets, restaurants, shopping places, banks, near Ouly and Babacars great place, and it‘s near the very interesting city center Dakar, very close to the beaches, and the most western point of Africa, Pointe des Almadies. I would definitely choose Ouly’s and Babacar’s beautiful apartment again for my next stay in Dakar and I heartly recommend all travelers to stay there. The place was so clean and spacious. The location is perfect too.

This place was like home, you could come in, use the kitchen, have your take out meals there. The host is an amazing lady!

Wifi was good and they let us use the room after check out to shower and change before leaving to airport later on the afternoon, that i appreciate very much.

Lady on charge was very rude and completely ignored me, only spoke with my companion. I didn't speak french, true, but she didn't even look me in the eyes nor greeted me in any way in all three days. When we first got there she claimed i had made a mistake with the reservation, that i had booked only two nights and with no air conditioning, even though i had the booking confirmation with correct details. No apologies. Also they only accept cash, not credit card like promised in description.

Weather was nice.

The hotel staff continuously declined all my remote credit card payment (tried three cards that all should be working) because the hotel staff wanted to have cash payment. She then also decided to increase the room rate on place so she could take some for herself. Room also didn’t look like the room description. Poor & corrupt customer service, lots of stress created and absolutely not recommended as a stay for anyone with a developed sense of morale.

The Lady is polite , well mannered . I am from Dakar , I know the people .....She seems to be trustworthy with Cash....she refunded me cash ....something ppl hardly do here...the ll be the most creative beings on earth to keep your money 😂.... I highly recommend this awesome Lady for your stay in Dakar, just make sure to be clear on what you need/want with her and you won t be disappointed ! The House is made with quality materials ( ie tiles wooden doors, teinted glass windows , light fixture ..) The internet is the best quality /speed you can find in this city....the house is spacious , comfy and clean The Location is good, depending on your purpose... It is about 10 mins walk to Virage beach....but having a car will make your stay awesome..cuz for northerners what is cold/chilly for locals is like Summer to you so you ll find yourself breaking a sweat quickly, the cabs don t often go inside the neighborhood unless they are dropping off ...so you ll have to walk a couple of mins to get to the main road , the wait for a cab would be a mimute or two.....at night most likely less than 5 mins... The Neighborhood is above middle class income, so people tend to keep to themselves and stay indoors , they are busy , educated people ....one of the safest area in Dakar.... a lot of these houses have private security sitting outside the homes ...and there isn't much of attraction for the crooks but I advise vigilence at all times , specially if you have one of the latest iphone models....Street food option is not plenty only a few option in this neighborhood ...but there is a big supermarket on the main road , few mins from Chez Ouly .....and also few bodega a few yards from the house... The busy Almadies area is about 15 mins walk ..plenty nice , upscale kind of restaurants...not cheap I must tell you coming from NYC...I ll say for a dinner of 2 , $40-$100....portion size is ok....after a meal your good for a good 4-6 hours.

I wish it was private apartments rather than a shared and right on the main road ....since I didnt have a car.

I didn't lodge there but my husband and daughter loved it. It is close to most places in Dakar. The people were nice.

They don't change the bedsheets.
