This property was just as cute as the pictures. The cabin was spotless and well maintained, the fridge was filled with all of the necessities and then some - and Donna even grabbed a few of our favorite snacks and beverages, a very welcoming touch. Donna's hospitality is top notch, we will be back!

We stayed for a very quick weekend. We attended a wedding within 30 min of the property and didn't want a stuffy hotel. The place is adorable, clean, has everything you need, and is nicely tucked away from the hustle of city life. I saw a hummingbird outside the window the first day and knew we had found the perfect little weekend spot.

We had such a wonderful stay. Donna was 100% helpful in anyway if we had any questions. The cabin was absolutely wonderful and so peaceful. Me and my hubby celebrated our 1 year anniversary and my birthday together at the cabin and we came back home so happy. We even went for a walk around the neighborhood after dinner one of the nights. I absolutely loved the view at night and I love how everything was lighted up at night. We will definitely recommend to our family and friends that want a quiet and country getaway. We will definitely be back when we want some alone time.

The place was just as pictured. Very cute and perfect for a couple. Donna provided much more than any vrbo we ever stayed at. The refrigerator was stocked with everything we needed for our 5 day stay and she even provided a bottle of wine for each of us. There are many nice wineries and places to visit in the area. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet getaway. 5 stars from us for sure.

Clean, Organized, and private

Our stay was absolutely amazing. My main concern when traveling is always the cleanliness of the place we are staying. Our cabin was very clean and cozy. I felt like so comfortable there. Donna, the owner was more like a family/friend hostess rather than someone we rented from. She definitely has a God given gift of hospitality. From the stocked kitchen, to the perfectly decorated rooms it was wonderful. Unless you want to cook a huge meal she has everything you need! My husband loved her huge selection of coffee. She left us a welcome note with sweet treats which was so thoughtful. The bathroom is also stocked with everything needed. The heated bathroom floor was nice. With the Cross above our bed and the Bible on the table we felt right at home. The cabin also was stocked with games, books, an Alexa device, and televisions. From the outside you have small a view of the lake. There is a public lake access near by. The cabin is located in a very nice, family friendly neighborhood but the cabin is still private and quite. It's also located very near Dawsonville, and Dahlonega and within in driving distance of Helen, Amicalola Falls, and Ella Jay. If we ever visit the area again we will definitely stay here. This was my first VRBO booking and in the future if they are not all this wonderful I will be so disappointed.

Donna was a great communicator. She went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. The cabin was so nice and clean. The location was so quiet. We will be returning.

Excellent, perfect, wonderful…those are the words to describe Ms. Donna’s Lakeside Retreat. Cozy, warm, inviting…this little cabin is perfect for your little get-a-way. Ms. Donna had everything so nicely decorated for Christmas. She is wonderful. Everything you need she has there:coffee, tea, creamer, yogurt, snacks, eggs, bacon…anything and everything she has it there awaiting your stay. Best place I ever stayed with using VRBO. In case, you haven’t gotten how wonderful this place is and in case you didn’t understand the title….just stop looking for a place anywhere in this area and book this little cabin. Close to dawsonville, close to daglongea, close to Helen, convenient easy to get to any of these places. Oh, and the heated bathroom floor was just the icing on the cake! 😊

Donna is a spectacular hostess -provided drinks, goodies, breakfast items - checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed - even helped us take out our luggage - super kind and wonderful lady! This was an anniversary trip for me and my husband and one of the best properties we’ve ever stayed at! Donna was an amazing host and answered every question we had she had the fridge stocked with our favorite drinks and breakfast options for our next morning there plus a super sweet anniversary card with champagne waiting for us when we arrived. She even hung a happy anniversary sign above the bed. The house was super clean and comfortable the cabinets were fully stocked with everything you might need to cook with even a wide array of spices. The bed was so comfortable probably the best I’ve had at a rental property and the bathtub was super relaxing. I cannot say enough good things about this property and host. We will definitely be staying here again soon!

I travel a lot and stay in MANY private options. This is BY FAR the best experience I have ever had. The level of hospitality that Donna provides is the highest bar you can find. Think 5* hotel…. But I don’t want to give away all of her secrets… you have to experience them for yourself!!! ENJOY as much as I did 💯

We had an amazing experience! Our cabin was spotless and Donna was amazing. No need to stop at the grocery store before coming here. Donna ensures there are plenty of snacks, Coffee and breakfast options. We were close to everything. Thanks for the wine too Donna! You are a wonderful hostess.

Everything you have read about this place is so accurate. Donna was so pleasant and attentive. She met me at my car and made sure I was happy with her place. She even decorated for my birthday and added a little something special to my romantic getaway. Donna, I will be returning sooner than you think. I loved it.

This property isn’t as described, it’s better! The cleanest place you’ll ever stay. Nothing has been overlooked and everything is top notch. The cabin is located in a very nice neighborhood away from the hustle and bustle of surrounding areas. It’s only a 10 minute drive to restaurants and the Dawsonville Premium Outlets. I highly recommend this place if you’re staying in the area.

This cabin and owner are amazing. The cabin is located in a quiet picturesque setting. The owner was there when we arrived and even helped us unpack. She went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. She had snacks, beverages and food options that were for us to enjoy. The property was nicely decorated for fall. We enjoyed spending time on the porch enjoying the area and using the outdoor fire pit. The property is close to many area attractions and just down the road is a peaceful park that we sat and enjoyed the lake.

What a lovely experience. Seamless check in, spotless, quiet little neighborhood on/near the lake, access to town. Beyond everything else though, was the thoughtfulness of the property manager. Kinda blew me away.

My husband and I got away a few days to celebrate my birthday and when we arrived at the cabin Donna, the owner, left a birthday card, table decoration, bottle of wine and a “Happy Birthday” banner over the bed! That was just the beginning! We spent the days exploring wineries, mountains, Helen, etc but being in the cabin was truly the best thing about the whole trip! It was absolutely beautiful and cozy. Everything was perfect! The bed was extremely comfortable, the bathroom was gorgeous (even a heated floor), kitchen was well stocked, smelled great. We will definitely be going back! Best birthday I’ve ever had!!

This was a perfect place to stay for our long weekend of hiking. The cottage is exactly as pictured and had everything we needed. Donna was so welcoming. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in the area, hopefully for a longer stay.

Where to begin?! Everything about our short stay at this little cabin was amazing. This is probably the best VRBO we have ever stayed at! The property is such a charming, beautiful little cabin, perfect for a couple. Everything has been perfectly appointed, beautifully decorated and is very clean and modern. The host, Donna, was attentive to every detail and made us feel at home! She left us a note to welcome us, included a basket of snacks, drinks in the fridge and every amenity you could need. She was incredibly responsive via text, and was available for anything we may have needed (although she had already thought of everything!). From enjoying coffee on the deck, to relaxing in the comfortable king bed, to soaking in the jetted tub (while watching TV!), we enjoyed every minute of this little gem. Book this property if you want a beautiful place to recharge, relax and forget about the stress of everyday life!
