Relatively easy access by public transport (infrequent bus combination v close by or 15 min walk to more frequent direct bus or 20 min walk to train station to Dresden). If arriving by public transport either change at Dresden HBH for Dresden Kemnitz or else alight at Dresden Mitte for the direct bus (no 75). Shopping facilities are mixed if you don't have a car. Trinkhalle for water and beer 3 min walk, Netto (small, expensive) 15 min walk, Edeka (large, huge range, good value) really needs transport - 25-30 mins on foot. The more frequent bus is close by, the less frequent bus is a few metres further on and takes you close to the house). Small bakery 3 mins away (was not open Sunday or Monday for our dates). The apartment is very clean and spacious.

As you are next door to the hosts (who are very pleasant and helpful) watch out for loud teenagers if they go away for the weekend! Towels were very limited. The outdoor area is in the front garden and there are no BBQ facilities. It is however screened by trees and as such a pleasant place to sit out.

The apartment is situated in semi detached house in a quiet area in the outskirts of Dresden, It's a good five kilometres to the city centre, but buses are running every 30 minute and stops a around seven hundred meters from the apartment. The apartment was clean and well equipped for a long stay. It has enough space for a family. The beds were good, and we sleep well. The information on how to find the keys to the house was accurate, so no problems there.

The instruction list of what "to do" and what "not do to" is long and very detailed, and it is only available in German. It also include an inventory list down to the the very last tea spoon. It takes half a day to go through all this, so the apartment seems most suitable for longer stay of a full week or more. It left us with a feeling of distrust in contrast to what we had experienced earlier on our round trip in the eastern parts of Germany.
