La posizione, il palazzo storico

Davvero un peccato ..un bellissimo palazzo storico del quale però non viene però sfruttato il suo reale potenziale...lasciato in uno stato decadente....i contatori elettrici son pericolosi e DI ALTRI TEMPI acqua calda assente eccetto che per il piano terra ...il bagno in comune....pochi e dalla parte opposta del pianerottolo...mi è stata assegnata una camera con ancora odore di vernice credo terminata di imbiancare 5 minuti prima che dopo mia richiesta è stata cambiata ....800 rupie per una camera decadente cin una sola presa di corrente lontana sal letto, con zanzare etc in camera non credo proprio li valga....si trova di molto meglio nelle vicinanze...l'unica cosa bella il palazzo con giardino, poi portate dei tappi per le orecchie in quanto c'è una moschea vicino che dalle 5 del mattino potrebbe svegliavi cin canti religiosi

Location is good - you come out of Broadlands and you are in the middle of everything (cafes, shops etc) which is good. The place has a certain old world charm which you won't find in other hotels in Chennai.

This place is crumbing - it could be SO amazing but I actually think one day someone will lean on a balustrade and it will break! Maybe the charm has gone one step too far.

Salle de bain commune seulement. Sanitaire en mauvais état ( sol et plomberie d’un autre âge). Pas de moustiquaire nécessaire.

The old Building is wonderful it has many patios full of beautiful tropical plants.

The men at the Reception they really don't know how to welcome people. They rush you for documents, rush you for money money, they take a picture of you with a long burocratic useless explanation, they ask you many many questions. The feeling is like being in an old movie questioned at a Police Station 😃 Check-in is a long process and when you check out they try to ask some people for more money 😃 The rooms are very old and smell of mold and humidity. Very hard beds, is like laying down on a stone and even the pillows are hard and heavy. No hot water for Shower. It could be a very beautiful Hotel if was run by a nice family that take care of Property and people !

I liked to courtyards with the plants and trees, a rare sight in Chennai. Room was spacious, a little basic, reasonably clean.

The area it was located in, too chaotic, dirty and choking on traffic fumes. A few decent eateries within walking distance, not many veggie options.

Really charming building, quite beautiful! The location is good, near some highly rated restaurants and cafes. The room itself was big.

The bed was incredibly uncomfortable, my ‘double bed’ was on a makeshift frame with what looked like 2 massage table leather tops on it. There was also a nail at the end of the bed which I cut my foot on.

The atmosphere was excellent and peaceful i loved the way the staffs treated us with happy hearted 👍🙂😍 and the rooms were also in a good condition.....In future also I would like to book my room in the same property 💞❤️😍

にぎやかな大通りから少し入っただけなのに とても静かなんです 通りの人ごみと渋滞に疲れ気味でも 宿に戻ってくると家に帰ってきたみたいに ホッとします ファンが大きかったので洗濯物が乾いてよかったです

Charming architecture, convenient location.

Lack of cleanliness, shared bathroom.

The room was very large with high ceilings and a private enclosed balcony. The peeling paint and courtyard garden lends an old-world charm to the hotel.

The beds were very hard, the elderly gentleman at reception was not that friendly and we had to keep on asking for the geyser to be switched on. The whole place could do with a bit of tlc - especially the bathroom.

Very central, easy access to transport and restaurants. Helpful staff in particular Mahindra 🙏

Very dirty, hard beds, the bathrooms don’t seem to be cleaned thoroughly and I don’t blame the staff for it. Pillows as hard as stones. Would not cost a lot to change the bedding and employ more staff

Palazzo antico bellissimo pieno di cortili, balconi, scale. È un’oasi di silenzio e aria fresca in mezzo alla confusione della città. Il tutto ad un prezzo ottimo. Essenziale, spartano, esteticamente splendido.

The location is very good. Airtel office is close by for sorting your SIM card as is the Ratna cafe which does really excellent (a d very cheap) South Indian food.

Dilapidated but not entirely without a certain old world charm.

The place has real character and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Met other travellers there. There are common bathrooms but didn't bother me.

The vintage vibes of the house.

When we arrived at night, they informed us that no rooms were available. However, we had previously informed them that our check-in time would be between 3-4 am. Later, they managed to arrange a room for us. I requested a soap and a change of bedsheets, but they informed me that no bedsheets were available. At that time, we didn't have enough options to search for other hotels, which is why we chose to stay there. Overall, it was a bad experience.

Mosquitoes can come through the windows as they have little opneings in them, at least for the non-ac room.

Very good location. Easy to get to from Chennai Egmore train station by bus and from the airport by metro. The lodge staff is polite and helpful. There are many restaurants in the area. Marina beach is approx. 2 km on foot. Express avenue shopping mall is approx. 1 km on foot.

It was best to go back in time and relax in nature

Prachtig authentieke plek. Fijne kamer en dicht bij stand en bezienswaardigheden.Zeer vriendelijke en behulpzame medewerkers. Iedere ochtend een heerlijk ontbijt op de kamer.

The charm of the old building, gives a sense of being back in time. The layout (structure)of the room was nice.

The bathrooms could use a complete makeover for them to be hygienic, the floor was terrible. Also cockroaches and small red worms in the bathroom. Mattress was very uncomfortable and I’m usually fine with Indian beds, but this one would have better suited a long cushion on a bus seat. Pillow with black dots (mold) on it.

Everything. It's like a jail. Dirtiest bed and room I've ever been. Mosquitos invasion, cats invasion. I slept wearing my clothes and my shoes and I had to lay my dirty clothes on the bed to don't touch the surface. Bed was stained with blood. I woke up in the middle of the night and decided to head out because the situation was unbearable. It felt like a punishment. The building is supercool and it is a shame that it is so rundown. The bathroom is undescribable.

Very much a business and living place, nice to experience though.
