Fantastic place in jungle! Very nice lodges (9), spacious, cozy decorated in fantastic garden with pool and nice corners to sit. Food is super, from breakfast, over lunch to dinner! The hikes starting from the lodge were fun and sometimes even challenging. The jungle safari was less enjoyable (only the part on water was fun, the rest was too touristy, the community for example). Special mention for Sean, he arranged everything and did his best to make you feel at home, the right man on the right place! Top location! Would so go back ...
The first two days we were with 25, one family of 18 … that was too much for such a nice place … but the rest of the days was perfect!

Amazing place. Beautiful jungle surroundings, comfortable accommodation, friendly staff, most delicious food.
Knowledgeable and helpful guide. Very interesting activities (tours, hikes, traditional cooking/chocolate making).

Excellent staff all around, and Sean, the Manager , was extremely attentive and accommodating. The jungle walks, the food, the setting and the overall experience were unforgettable.
it is a bit out of the way and tricky to find but well worth it.

The tours made by Santiago - amazing guy who knows everything about fauna and flora.
There is not enough staff. Santiago is doing all he cans to confort all guests, as soon more guest arrive it is impossible to keep up to the standarts.
The rooms could be cleaner, it was ok.

Amazing location only surpassed by the food, which was incredible.
Not much, maybe a bit more clarity on what experiences are available.

Amazing place to get to see the Amazon Rainforest. The staff here are very welcoming, they always willing to help and always there for me. I would definitely go back to visit again.
The road to get there is very rocky. You would have to drive consistently. It will be very helpful if I had rent a SUV.

This was a surprisingly nice stay - great stop before or after visiting the Amazon from Quito or Banos . The facilities are nice but the people outstanding. After checking in we were offered a hiking tour and a cooking class. Not being a big cook I thought it was ok until I learned we were making chocolate from scratch and learning how to cook fresh fish in banana leaves. Really great. The staff met us with drinks after every activity. Thanks Leonardi and Santiago. The owners were also so kind and spent 30 minutes helping us arrange some fun places to visit on our trip back to Quito.

This is an amazing place. It's an oasis of modern design in the jungle. This hotel is beautiful, designed with guest comfort in mind. The staff are exceptional, they have a person assigned to you to manage your stay and attend to your need. They have a guide to take you to the jungle. They offer all meals, and cuisine is as traditional, as it modern, and of great value. It's a small hotel, so you get personalized treatment, and the owners are very involved. We only stayed for two nights, but it was extremely relaxing and satisfying.

Kuyana is a beautiful lodge with a great and friendly staff. The location is great (about 3 1/2 hours by car from Quito) and the food is delicious. We were lucky and the weather was perfect for our trip. We will definitely recommend it to our friends and family and return ourselves.

The Kuyana Lodge delivers on many levels. It is remote, but not too distant from the bustle of Tena and Archidona. The food is influenced by local tastes, but delivered as part of a modern cuisine, and the rooms/common areas are minimalist without being spartan. The staff are genuinely helpful - and the nature walks, bird spotting etc are a joy, down the Oro Pendolina's that like to nest in trees on the property. You will not be disappointed (even the wifi is surpisingly good!)
Nothing really

Probably one of our best stays ever, in any country. Lu has created an oasis with a beautiful vision for the property. The room was large, clean, very comfortable king size bed with jacuzzi and large window view of the surrounding fauna. Multiple creative covered outdoor spaces for relaxing, great for yoga or hanging. The guide, Santiago, was exceptional and allowed us to be flexible in our schedule regarding the activities he provided. Loved the night walk and the waterfall walk with a swim in a natural pool and learning to make chocolate. Food was exceptional, best meals we’ve had in Ecuador for a very reasonable price (breakfast was included), especially as we had no other easy options and easily could’ve increased prices. Would 1000% stay again.

The location was a bit tough to get to, but so worth the journey. I forgot to try to provide possibly more detailed directions for English speakers! But when I called they were very patient with my lack of ability to fully speak Spanish, something I need to work on:)
The hikes were lovely little getaways and fun information about the plants and ones you can eat and such. Quite a lovely touch for the experience, including a hike to a waterfall nearby with some moderately-advanced hiking at few points that made it really fun.
The food was excellent and worth paying the price for lunch and dinner, and fun to try things I normally don’t eat, like some type of mushroom (I hate mushrooms) that had the mushroomy texture but was cooked in enough oil and garlic to make palatable:)
The “cooking class” was a fun experience too as you get to make chocolate from scratch and prepare your fish to be cooked for the evening meal and if you’re brave enough, try the larva. It’s an experience! Would not go out of my way to cook it, but come on, you’re in the jungle, enjoy it.
Thank you to everybody at the Kuyana Lodge, I apologize I am terrible with names and had a long 2 weeks since my visit and have forgot your names :( but everybody was so nice and accommodating, and helped me practice my terrible Spanish. I hope you all get the attention you deserve as this was an incredible experience in the jungle. I will definitely be taking any friends/family I can convince to come to Ecuador to stay at the Kuyana.
Nothing. Was hard to get to at the beginning, but they did what they could to provide instructions, so if you are really bad with directions I would advise asking for some more detailed directions, like what street to go down in what direction (I believe it was East and then take a left and a right and a left kind of deal, but the directions provided to me were from the direction I was heading. Hard to give accurate directions in such a small town like that though)

Fabulous property and beautiful room. The staff were amazing and very knowledgeable! We learned how to make chocolate, went on a night walk where we saw lots of interesting insects, and played with the resident lemur. The owners are lovely people who bent over backwards to make our stay amazing. The food was incredible and even my picky children liked it.
Nothing. It was amazing!

This was an absolutely luxurious, relaxing, and beautiful hotel. The staff here are incredible-- they provided hikes around the rainforest with free guided tours, and they helped us arrange white water rafting. We really enjoyed making our own chocolate and exploring the grounds around the hotel. Special shoutout to the food here-- it was tremendous! Our whole group was vegetarian and we all agreed it was some of the best vegetarian food we have ever eaten. The rooms were also very clean, comfortable, and eco-friendly. Highly recommend this property to anyone looking to explore the amazon!
The wifi in the rooms was not particularly strong-- but it still worked somewhat.
