The Pleasure has been my favourite place in Sri Lanka. this small hotel is so peaceful, in such a beautiful location with the beach at your feet, but a nice big garden with hammocks and chair swings. The rooms are spacious, quiet, with balconies. the food is great. However the thing that makes this place special is the people. They cannot do enough to make your stay the best you could ask for, they’re always there and smiling and ready to help. In addition they clearly care about the environment and the nature around them. If I didn’t have a time limited visa I think I wouldn’t have left!

Beautiful location, hotel has 3 rooms, so the 6 of us had the place to ourselves. The property is on the beach, so you can walk across the garden straight onto the beach. Rooms are large and clean. Staff are polite and attentive. Bentota is 15 minutes away, 1500 rupees by Tuk Tuk, Pier 88 is a good place for food.

Let's start with the landlords, the best, pleasant, smiling and kind. They gave us a sense of home and amazing service at every moment. The rooms are very large. The food is delicious and varied. The beach feels private. Special thanks to the amazing landlord Anna.

The staff was friendly and view was awesome

Perfect hotel to relax and unwind to end your holiday after travelling around the island. The area is safe and in a local area with a few shops and a couple of other restaurants on the main road about a 5 minute walk away. The beach is quiet and the sunlloungers are on their private beach area so you can safely leave your things and go for a swim. The rooms are wonderful, the photos here do not do them justice, they are beautiful. The staff, especially Lana work hard to ensure your stay is perfect. The restaurant is slightly more expensive than local restaurants but the quality of the dishes is much higher, after 3 weeks of travelling spending on average £5 a head on an evening meal we were really happy to pay about 50% more for a better dining experience and food quality, we especially loved the whole lobster which was much cheaper than any other country we have been to. There are only 3 rooms here so it will never be busy and you will always be able to find your own space to relax.For a perfect end to your vacation stay here :)

Nothing I can think of, i would say it might be better to bring dollars as the exchange rate can vary a lot from day to day.

- comfortable big rooms - beautiful ocean view - amazing private beach - the owners are super nice and take special care of their guests - good food

- restaurant service both for breakfast and dinner is really slow - breakfast only from 8:30, although they made it possible for us to start at 8:00 with the kids (as they get up at 6:30) but we still had to wait a lot for most of the food (and all other guests were also up and by the beach by that time so might be a good idea to start breakfast service earlier)

Power in the city went off a couple of times for a short while

The hotel is perfect, out of the way, room was beautiful, every room has different colour scheme, the best view, the pictures are an accurate representation of the hotel. Beach is so great, clean, they have two swings that you can sit on under the tree and enjoy the beach, we did that ALOT!! Pool is so clean, really nice place to chill as the sun goes down. Lana and her team are so nice, so helpful, and if you ask for something you will get it in a timely manner, food was good, freshly cooked and again on time!! We only stayed one night, it was my husbands birthday the next day, and I mentioned it to Lana if they could provide cake or something the day before, and she came through :) Thanks Lana and Team you turned our disastrous weekend around, we loved it!!

Lana and Pujitha with their staff were very friendly and accomodative, The rooms were very spacious and well kept, The food was very well organized and a lot of effort was made to ensure that we were cared for.

We liked the beauty of the location and the hospitality of Lana and her team. Lana was an excellent hostess and made us feel very welcome and well looked after. Nothing was too much for her. The breakfast was excellent and the meals in the evenings as well. The room was very spacious with a beautiful sea view. We loved every minute of our 7 day stay and would love to come back one day.
