The accomodation was amazing, the rooms were spacious and the swimming pool was amazing! Also, the Guestready Team was super flexible and helped us out a lot!
There are a few things missing in the kitchen (fr no cutting board) and you have to bring salt/peper/olive oil.

Ten minutes walk down the hill to the centre of Funchal town with a good super market / shopping mall on the way.
Spacious rooms with a nice fully functional kitchen and huge balcony for dining with views of mountains beyond the other buildings.
Our greeter was very friendly even though we arrived quite late, although it seems all Madeirans are friendly.
There is a shared pool too.
Not a critique of the accommodation, more one of Madeira in general, there are a lot of black smoke diesel cars on the island which can get a bit sickening as you are walking up the very steep pavements.

Despite me providing Booking.com with ALL my flight details etc and time of arrival - NO ONE was there to help us access the property. I even messaged to query that we hadnt received any instructions. Nothing back from booking.com - we were completely forgotten. It was really bad. We were left outside the complex at night having travelling from the uk - 10 hours in total - we called the helpline as stated by Booking.com +351 916 915 185 for help - it was dark and the main complex door was closed - when i got through i spoke to a woman. I was polite and informed her of the situation - she was incredibly rude and couldn't see any booking for us, then told me I hadn't paid for the booking, which I knew was incorrect. She put the phone down on me. Two kind polite Portugese people tried to help by calling the number and speaking to the woman in Portugese - she put the phone down on them too. I was really anxious by now thinking we would have no where to sleep - it was now dark and late - 2100.
Then an hour later i get a random email from Booking.com saying " Dear Johnston" sorry for the delay someone is coming".
Someone DID come - Roberto - didn't say his surname or give my his number he was very apologetic and nice - had to go to the office to collect a key etc - i got the feeling no one was expecting us. This was a TERRIBLE start to our holiday.
No welcoming instructions/wifi code in apartment - 2 small towels for both of us for the week and appalling water pressure so it took an hour to run a bath! Sometimes you couldn't shower at all!
The livro de Reclamacoes - Complaints Book - pictured inside the apartment on a wall just had an address no telephone number/email etc. Really felt let down by Booking.com

The apartment is really big, with 2 bedrooms (master + twin) and 2 bathroom, plus a huge terrace and sitting room. Having a washing machine and dishwasher was very convenient. The outdoor pool was also great and towels are provided. We rented a car for some days and the flat comes with a private parking place you can reach by lift. There's a shopping centre at the bottom of the street from the apartment where food and other stuff can be purchased.
They were still cleaning the apartment when we checked in at 15.00, so we had to leave the luggage and get out. We were not told that the air-conditioning didn't work (we were provided with 2 fans instead) and it was very hot in the apartment at all times, day and night. We reported the issue but in 7 days nobody came to repair it. We couldn't work out how to watch local or international TV channels though we tried a few times. You can use Netflix if you have an account but not everyone has one. Walking to the centre of Funchal is downhill, which is easy, but returning to the flat (especially with shopping) can be exhausting.

Amazing apartment, it's huge, the balcony is giant, it's modern, it's central, it's great value. Great kitchen with a coffee machine, also a washing machine.
Two bathrooms, one for each of the bedrooms (one en suite, the other not). The en suite bathroom to the master bedroom also had a bath.
The facilities are unreal - there is a shared outdoor pool, indoor pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, and Turkish bath (wet sauna?) - they were also hardly used by anyone else during our stay.
Would highly, highly recommend if staying in Funchal.
The only small thing was that the air conditioning wasn't working for the first 2 days, it took a little bit of back and forth to confirm all of the troubleshooting despite explaining the error code, but someone was then sent out to fix it, so happy days.

Location was okay a 10 minute walk down hill into Funchal and a €5 taxi back to the apartment.
The size of the apartment was good but a neighbour would let their dog out several times at night, barking!

The flat is very spacious, has a utility room and a clothes horse to dry washing, the two bathrooms are useful, an amazing, large balcony which felt very private and has a lovely view. The flat was very clean and there were two housekeeping visits during my stay to replace linen etc. The staff were very lovely to chat to.
A taxi transfer was arranged and appreciated on arrival

The pool was a good place to relax - a bit more maintenance on the tiles in the pool required to clean algae.
An extra set of keys would have made life easier. Leaving the property was awkward as we needed to unlock the entrance gate into the complex, hold the gate open with all of the luggage whilst one of us ran back to the flat to leave the keys. This was not easy and I could not have done this on my own.
A parasol for the balcony would have been really welcome - I did ask but was told none was available :(
I would have been grateful for a 'welcome pack' for weary, late arrivals.
Be aware there are dogs yapping and howling - not all the time but both day and night
For singles/couples, a few smaller saucepans and a steamer would be good - just two very large saucepans

Loved the pool/gym access
The information pack was very basic... no info re nearest supermarket/how to call a taxi/car hire/beach and lido options
We found some leaflets in a draw but these were just tourist leaflets
There's so much to see and do in Madeira - some insider info would be great
Somewhere guests could write helpful hints for future visitors would be great (recommendations, highlights, restaurants catering for dietary requirements)

Spacious apartment, well stocked kitchen. Lovely setting, quite quiet and well appointed.
Both swimming pools were unheated (indoor & outdoor) plus no keys were provided for the leisure facilities. It was a bit far to the nearest restaurant along steep roads.

Nice apartment within walking distance from downtown. Big rooms with very comfortable beds. Well equipped kitchen with all you need. Very handy during coronavirus curfew.
As of advertised amenities ie indoor pool, sauna, gym etc - it’s a little misleading. All you can use is an outdoor pool with no loungers - has been removed bc coronavirus. Also can’t use gym or sauna or indoor pool. Also bedrooms are overlooked and the noise coming from kids playing outside is awful.
