Sobre este casaalquiler
Thatched Roof, Elegant Cottage in Doolin, Spectacular Views, Tranquil

The location and the view are amazing, The home was warm and comfortable. An amazing find for the Ireland adventure in the Doolin area.

This was our second stay at this cottage in Doolin. This time some of our family joined us. Everyone was taken by the charm and comfort of the house. They were captivated by the view from the conservatory and we all spent time outside on the property drinking our morning coffee or tea. The house is well situated on the Wild Atlantic Way so we could visit Dingle and Galway. Both Niall and Deidre were gracious caretakers. Our two weeks in Doolin are now a forever memory

This house and town will hold a special place in our family’s heart forever. It is amazing. The home was perfect for our family of 4 ( kids ages 10 and 12). Everything we needed was there and available. The yard and view were breathtaking. The beds comfy, everything was clean and commutation was great. Thank you for such a wonderful stay in an amazing town. We can’t wait to come back.

The best view in all of Doolin

We loved this house the moment we saw it! It sits high on a hill above the sea and a castle! You can see the Aran islands and the cute town of Doolin below. Sunsets were amazing! We walked down the steep hill to Doolin once. Very difficult climb back up so we didn’t do it again.
The house was just right for the 4 of us. The viewing room was where we spent all of our time. It was our first time in Ireland and this house was the perfect Ireland setting!

We played 4 courses in 4 days. The Thatched Cottage could not have been more convenient and lovely a stay. It has abundant charm and views beyond words.

We simply loved this gem just a stones throw from the small town of Doolin. It is a wonderful home base for exploring the wild Atlantic way but also perfect if you just want to sit outside (or in the lovely living room!), looking out over the ocean and the castle practically on the doorstep! Don't miss a meal at Homestead Cottage, a five minute drive away. We would return in a heartbeat!

The view of the castle and ocean out the back windows was an incredible way to start the day. Hiked to the Cliffs of Moher & took the ferry from Doolin to the Aran Islands. The house is charming, comfortable & quiet. Highly recommend it.

It is not easy to be cozy and spectacular at the same time, but this is both. Along with the view of the castle and Aran Islands, we were also impressed with the furniture and lovely artwork. The washer and dryer were a plus. There are a number of pubs within a short drive, but little far for walking. Indeed the cottage is wonderfully located, close to Galway, the Cliffs, and the fabulous Doolin Cave. Indeed this cottage is a gem.

Absolutely wonderful!! The cottage was beautiful and offered everything we needed!! The view out the back was SO phenomenal, it brought tears to my eyes!! I could of stayed there forever! Our cow neighbors were great! The individual bathrooms were awesome. We celebrated my daughter’s 21st birthday while staying here :). Was a short drive to town and to the ferry.
We all were soooo happy and in aw of this property!!! Thank you!

This is a beautiful home with a postcard amazing castle view. We enjoyed every minute and only wish we could have stayed longer. Any questions were responded to very quickly by the O’Dwyers. I would definitely stay here again if we ever have the chance to come back to Ireland. A magical place.

We had a wonderful time during our stay at this cottage. The view is absolutely fantastic and pictures don’t do it justice. We enjoyed the peaceful mornings and our furry cow neighbors. I will definitely stay here again!

The house could not have been more enchanting
Every room had a beautiful view of the pastures or of the ocean below. We enjoyed the walk to the cliffs of moher and exploring the many shops and pubs in Doolin
It was everything we could have hoped for and more. We hated to leave

The home was actually portrayed in the overview. Lovely, warm and comfortable. My only concern was the mattresses. They were worn and old. Really need to be replaced.

We had a wonderful stay in this idyllic home above the town of Doolin. The breathtaking view from the conservatory and convenience to town and the cliffs made our stay all the more memorable. We highly recommend this place for a stay on The Wild Atlantic Way.

Impressive country house with stunning views of the Doolin harbour and Aran islands. Clean, comfortable, very private accommodations with more room than the two of us could ever use. A great home base for exploring the West coast, very close to the Cliffs of Moher. A few minor problems: someone needs to reprogram the free-to-air sat receiver as the channel definitions for the default U.K. stations do not seem to work; Irish stations are fine. There apparently was no need to check-in at the caretaker’s inn ahead of time as the house key was already left at the rental property. This may have been because the caretakers themselves were not there to greet us, just a member of the inn staff, and she seemed a bit confused as why we were there. In spite of these very minor issues, we had a wonderful time at this property and would go back in a minute.

What a magical location and lovely home! We stayed one week and enjoyed every minute. So much to do in the area, but also loved the quiet moments sitting in the conservatory watching the waves crash and the grasses blow in the wind. The house is just as described in its listing, and we appreciated the opportunity to enjoy it. Thank you!

Our stay at this Doolin cottage was absolutely magical. It is hard to put into words the happiness it brought to our family of four during our first visit to Ireland. The home and its stunning views are something we will never forget. Thank you to the Lynch Family for sharing it with us!

If you are seeking a quintessential Irish home where you can walk to the pub in a quaint town for a pint then this is it. The check in process was simple and all of our questions were timely answered. The home is amazing with ample room for my family of three. Upon arrival we just stood for some time in the sun room staring at Doonagore Castle and the ocean. The sunsets were breathtaking. The home was well stocked and extremely clean.
The house is located on a one lane road and Doolin is a 15 minute walk. Yes, there is a hill but we just took our time and enjoyed the scenery. A current downside to the road is that Google maps seems to be routing everyone on it to get to Doolin. Not within the owner's control but saying this to be mindful of the traffic. The walk down the hill to Doolin was fun for my family with my son playing his tin whistle and petting the cows. One end of the Cliffs of Mohre trail is on this road and a lovely hike. The house is close to many attractions in the area. It was absolutely perfect for my family and many thanks to the Lynch family for opening up their home so others can experience Ireland. Slainte!

This is truly one of the most beautiful properties we have stayed in. The views and feel of the home made me want to move there. It fit our family with four kids very comfortably and was within easy proximity of town, the cliffs of mohr, the Burren, and multiple beaches.

We were lucky enough to happen upon this gorgeous cottage while searching for a home to stay in near many places we wanted to visit on our trip to Ireland. The 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and large living space gave our group of 5 plenty of space to relax, rest, and unwind after exploring during the day. The washer and dryer were utilized so that we were able to pack lighter! We highly recommended this home and shared it with a Irish travel group because it was simply perfect. Thank you for letting us stay in heaven!

My family had a wonderful time at the Thatched Roof House in Doolin. The house was lovely and spacious, beautifully decorated and very welcoming. The views of the castle in the near distance and the crashing waves beyond were very exciting. Being Spring the weather was very variable and we were treated to blustery freezing rain, fog and glorious breezy sunshine during our visit. The cozy fireplace was lovely and toasty. Will recommend to anyone looking fir a beautiful stay in the Irish countryside. Lots of attractions within a short drive from the house. Great local pubs and beautiful walks
Thanks so much for sharing this house with us.

This house is an absolutely gem, situated just above the castle and offering fabulous views of the coast from the conservatory windows. We had a short stay with adults and small children. There were ample supplies of all necessities (soaps, cleaning products, extra blankets etc). The furnishings are all of top quality. We had a really comfortable, marvellous stay!

Not only is the narrow road leading up to the house with the Doonagore castle standing proudly on the hill side quintissential Ireland, but add to that the cows grazing in the fields, the stone walls reaching across the hillsides with the green everywhere and you have the magic of Ireland in your backyard. It is perfect.
The house itself has all you need. It is well equipped and very comfortable. Also with the bedrooms in the two wings, it offers privacy if there are two couples. Though it is in the country, it is close to town. We walked to town and, though the walk back up the hill is doable, it is steep. Also, one end of the Moher Cliff Walk is at the bottom of the hill. Just down the road. And the ferry to the Aran Islands is right in town. And of course, there are the pubs and the music. All in all a great location. A great house. We highly recommend it. A great place to experience Ireland.

This home was absolutely incredible. It was well laid out, clean, comfortable and a great place to call home for a few days. I was traveling with family and my two young children and it was a great place to be. You can’t beat the views, the scenery, and the small town of Doolin. I absolutely loved this place - my husband has said it was the best part of our trip. We will be back in the future! I cannot recommend this home enough!

Niall and Deidra were very responsive to our every need. The security alarm and aga heating system were a bit problematic but Niall’s was on it. I contracted Covid several days after arriving so we ended up spending more time in the house than we anticipated.. we were thankful to have such a bucolic place to stay surrounded by beautiful views and the ever present cows. We would certainly stay again.

We spent a week in Doolin and stayed and this beautiful house with the most incredible views, and anything you could possibly need to feel comfortable and right at home. The walk to Doolin is short but road is tiny and hill is steep so our full crew (including my 11 year old, 78 year old mother and 82 year old father) couldn’t make the trek, but my husband and I did daily and our 14 yr old had no trouble either. The proximity to town made for quick drives with the crew when we all went and the trips to the Aran islands, the walk along the cliffs of moher, the delicious meals in multiple restaurants and incredible music made our stay absolutely magical. A nice sized yard to play some wiffle ball with a beautiful patio to enjoy every sunset behind the castle…..we are already talking about when we will go back! Thanks for sharing your lovely home with us

The beauty of Doolin is seen each morning and evening from Elizabrths thatched roof home. Bonus to look out at the ocean with Doonagore castle also in view. This is a wonderful, peaceful home.

Great house perfectly situated to enjoy awesome views of the ocean, castle and sunsets. We enjoyed having a master suite at one end of the house and two en suite bedrooms at the other end, with delightful conservatory, living room and kitchen in between. The views were amazing as we enjoyed the glorious, long sunset. Convenient check in and local support. Truly a delightful stay!
