Wonderful weekend---close to trails, eateries and perfect spot to the UVa campus.

Overall we had a Wonderful stay :) Location was easily accessible and within 10-12 walk distance to several local eateries. Off topic, but would recommend “The Local” for a sit down meal (our 30th anniversary dinner).
We lounged on the front porch & enjoying coffee both mornings, took in the flowering hydrangeas and “people watched” the passersby.
Excellent air conditioning and air circulation. It was 100+ degrees outside, but super comfortable inside.
We enjoyed two unexpected guests the first and second morning. Up front, we are dog lovers, but these were two of the most friendly and kind dogs…. They will be a fond part of our memories.
There is a covered porch off the rear of the flat; you can enjoy the outside even if it raining.
We got caught in the rain the first afternoon, but the Flat’s washer:dryer made a quick fix of the damp clothes.
We have one less than perfect item and two suggestions for the owner.
Less than perfect: Street parking only, located on a pretty steep hill (nothing you can do, but worth mentioning).
Suggestion 1: Bathroom sink drains very, very slow.
Suggestion 2: There was pepper, but the salt was empty.
This is a definite “do again” and we recommend you try this hidden gem.

The flat was a nice and comfortable place to stay. Location is great, we could have walked to several places but it was really hot this weekend. Was hoping kitchen was more to it to cook but was still plenty to work with. Would have used small grill had it not been so hot. Place was clean. Musty smell in bathroom but overall very clean.

Very comfortable and convenient location in Belmont, which is walk-able to restaurants and downtown. We enjoyed our stay and it was very private and quiet. We would definitely stay again!

We had a great stay! House is very comfortable & clean. The owners were friendly & they had two very sweet dogs that would visit us on the porch (after the owners made sure we were comfortable with dogs) (: Walkable to Belmont restaurants & even the downtown mall if you’re up for a 20 min walk, though some of the surrounding area felt a little unsafe after dark. That being said we felt very safe in the guest house on it’s quiet street!

My husband and I stayed at The Belmont Flat last weekend and loved every minute of it. The flat is just like the pictures. It has a nice and cozy ambiance that makes you feel like you're on a retreat. We loved the tasteful decor and appreciated all the thoughtful details that the hosts put into it. Check-in was a breeze. The WiFi worked perfectly. And the location was great, being close to downtown Charlottesville and UVA, and a 20-30min drive to the wineries. The neighborhood is quiet. We only ran into the hosts once on the street, where they were incredibly kind, welcoming us and offering to assist with anything we might need. We would definitely stay again!

What a well maintained, relaxing spot! We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go, or just enjoy movies from the comfy bed. On site hosts, and their pups, were awesome as well :-) Great stay!

Serene setting surrounded by beautiful hydrangeas and shade trees. The interior was modern, super clean and very comfortable. It’s close to I-64, wineries & breweries as well as great restaurants such as Tonic.

The property listing looks great from the pictures but unfortunately, there was a terrible musty/sewage smell when we arrived that made it feel unclean. They had an air purifier running when we got there so we think the hosts knew there was an issue. On a positive note, the property management company took action quickly when we contacted them about the complaint and moved us to a nicer, more conveniently located apartment they also rent out that was vacant. Although it was a minor pain to move our things, we were happy that the host was so willing to manage the issue proactively. 10 stars to the host for jumping into action!

Adorable studio with really high ceilings and tons of natural light!! Great location. We came into town from Roanoke to go to Trump winery and do some shopping. The restaurants in the Belmont neighborhood are amazing!!
I would recommend a dead bolt on the french doors for more sense of security for female travelers and some sort of window covering for the bathroom window. It was also really difficult to see the steps at the entry gate at night in the dark coming in after dinner. I would 110% stay here again for sure!! The bed, linens, and pillows were extremely comfortable as well. We met the owners dog and nanny and they were both delightful. I look forward to a return trip.

close to all the places of interest. Monticello, Highland, University baseball, Shenendoah hikes and even attended a wonderful point-to point steeplechase in Warrenton. Belmont was a pleasant neighbourhood within walking distance to great coffee spot and choice of several nice restaurants. Thankyou Team Shields.

This was a lovely studio flat with easy access to old town C-ville as well the many wineries and breweries in the area. The space is perfect for two adults, loved the decor. We would rent the Belmont Flat again for sure!

Walked in and was pleasantly surprised to how spacious it was compared to the pictures. The decor was nice and was definitely an upgrade from a hotel, felt more like home than a place to stay for a weekend. I would definitely recommend it for any couple that’s visiting the area.

Came to Charlottesville for a short girls trip and this was a great place for us to stay! Super cute and conveniently located within walking distance to several restaurants. Would definitely recommend!

So Comfortable
This place was beautifully designed and outfitted perfectly for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was well equipped, the bed comfortable, and the furnishings clearly done with a designer's eye. The place is very private and in easy walking distance of the Belmont area restaurants, which are all very, very good.

Good sized studio in great location, walkable to several cool restaurants around the crossroads of Monticello Road and Meridian St. Very comfy mattress! Nice little deck where you could watch the neighborhood go by. Efficient and modern setup, almost sparse, but well thought out. Not a full kitchen, but much better than what you would find in a hotel kitchenette. Good knives! Very easy to get to Monticello and 64. Street parking was free and very convenient to the gate you use to access the property. I would recommend to singles or couples who plan to be out and about doing touristy things.
The flat is on the ground floor of a guest house on the owners property, but we did not have anyone staying upstairs, and we did not see the owners while we were there. Two very friendly dogs (a young golden and an older mutt) came to visit us a few times, which was great for us, but take note if you don't like dogs.
