Purtroppo all'arrivo ci è stata data una camera diversa da quella prenotata (no vista mare come scelto) senza segnalarcelo al nostro arrivo, scoprendolo in stanza. Una volta segnalato alla reception ci è stato comunicato che non c'erano altre stanze disponibili per quella notte. Spostati nella camera scelta il secondo giorno. Il direttore ha poi rimediato offrendoci l'ultimo giorno l'all inclusive ma sicuramente non è stato bello essersi ritrovati in una stanza senza vista mare. L'errore ci sta assolutamente, ma sicuramente il rimedio poteva essere un rimborso sul prezzo pagato, piuttosto che offrirci un pranzo in più (dato che avevamo già la mezza pensione e gli abbiamo detto che di giorno mangiavamo fuori) e dei cocktail in piscina. Nelle aree comuni, inoltre, così come in ascensore, pochissimi clienti indossavano la mascherina ed è importante che sia lo staff a far si che le regole vengano rispettate.

Value for money. Food is very good. There is variaty for every taste. Room was comfy. Pool was clean. Stuff is polite. We would come back easily.

Ok, it's not a brand new hotel but they re trying to upgrade the rooms. Our room wasn't upgraded but it was comfy and the bed was nice. -The only think i didnt like in my room was the shower. Water was all over the bathroom and we had to clean the mess after every shower. -Also the kids playground needs more love. -The tiles round the pool can be very slippery.

Drinks at the pool are served in the plastic cups while serving in the glass would be much nicer and drinks would taste better.

the band that plays every tuesday are great! all the staff are super friendly, special shout out to anton in the restaurant! the food was pretty basic but left each meal feeling full, not alot of vegetarian options. drinks/cocktails are all great aswell

breakfast could be open a tad later its says 'late breakfast is between 10:00-11:00 but all the food is taken away and toast machine turned off at 10 so really your only choice is cereal and coffee, although even the milk will be finished by then! and the shower in the bathroom is laid out in a way youre bound to soak the entire room after every shower which is a nightmare! also the big loungers set back from the pool are always soaked in dirty water/leaves each morning so remembering to bring napkins/wipes to clean them is frustrating! maybe they should be wiped down each morning

Maten var suverän, personalen väldigt omtänksam och hjälpsam samt trevlig. Dina rum, städning varje dag, gratis strandhanddukar. Välstädat i hela hotellet.

Underhållning.. borde vara mer live musik. Underhållning var si och så, bara 1 dag hade de show resten var bara musik quiz och karaoke och det är lite tråkigt. Killen som anordnar underhållning pratar mest franska och det borde vara mer på engelska.. karaoke var bara franska låtar..

We stayed in Gouves Bay hotel in August 2023. The service was really great. Very nice people, good food. We really felt welcome there. They were always ready to help us and making us comfortabel.

Lovely place..the location is quiet if you want a relaxing vacation,this is the Perfect one,We love that the hotel provides various activities and programs both day and night for the guests.Hubby and i enjoyed specially the night with the live band HEADLONG whch we only heard for five minutes because we came late from the Tour.The variety of food they prepare (if given a chance choose their all inclusive offer) their service never stops..Restaurant is always clean You see the hardworking curly boy bringing out fresh And hot plates and utensils..The employees inside the restaurant never leave any empty plate on the table so It always look tidy and clean..The Guys from the Bar they never rest.. Excellent Customer Service from the staffs they go extra Mile.. when i say extra mile i mean it, the moment i stepped in the Hotel smile from the frontdesks will welcome you.. Kudos to Christina nd katerina.. Christina helped us from the beginning till end providing all extra info we may need, Helped us book the tour and make the best decision since we only have limited time of stay( we tried asking for extension from the beginning but they wer fullybooked😪 so we have to mke the best out of what we have.The room we booked without us realizing is flexible ive never heard bout it but yeah sounds disappointing right but NO..WeLOVED IT.. the new room they provided the next day is even more welcoming with A bottle of Wine awaiting🤩🥰.. Twas our last night so i took my bottle of wine Home and will never open for that bottle of Wine for that will always remind me of the Best Experience I had with CRETE...specially its PEOPLE... Would like to thank once again every single Employees of Gouves Bay Hotel to those we see in front and to those who are at the back of the scene,everybody had their own part to take. KUDOS everyOne!! To the owner/s admins of Gouves Bay Hotel..Your People Alone is the Best Investment you've ever had..Congratulations!

Nice food (most the time), cool and airy, nice style throughout hotel, bar and entertainment staff were great, most the other guests were friendly and fun, quiet area but the people in the shops and bars nearby were so friendly

Had to queue for the restaurant most nights, people reserve sunbeds and go out for the day which is ‘forbidden’ but not enforced leaving us with no beds most days, as others have suggested the WiFi isn’t great but not the end of the world

Overall, a very good value for money. The size room is big and the food was not so fancy but very tasty which is the most important part.

The best of all was the food - a big choice, check out was till 12, the garden is a big with many beds for relax

the drinks are cheap quality (everything very sweet and not original, even the coffi is just filtred). The bed was uncomfortable and musty, like everywhere there is not protection on windows so many mosquitos in room, a little bit noise from planes (close to airport)

We stayed in Gouves Bay for 10 days from 21/05/2023 until 01/06/2023. The place is simply fantastic !! Everything was perfect, I can not find any disadvantage. The staff of the hotel is very professional, polite, friendly and helpful. Since we had a 1.5 year old baby with us, who could be loud and messy sometimes - waiters were all the time there trying to help us feed and entertain him. The food was just great, the huge variety of everything - sea food, meat, pasta, vegetables, soups, salads, fresh fruits etc., deserts were amazing - could not stop eating ! Reception girls were smiling all the time and were very helpful when we had some small issues. There were snacks/coffee/tea in the room and a bottle of delicious red wine in the room upon arrival. The Restaurant Maitre Mr. Panagiotis was always there checking if everything goes smoothly, always smiling to all the guests. Waiters were always very polite and very quick, tables were always clean despite that the place was full. Very good organised service and well trained hotel staff. A big 'thank you' for a waiter that had a birthday during our stay and his colleagues brought him a cake in front of all restaurants guests - that was really warm and sweet. Unfortunately I do not remember his name. The Barman Nikos was very helpful. Great cocktails, positive vibes and great sense of humour. Some nights were animation programme, the best for us was a Rock night. Location of the hotel is perfect if you don't search for a loud music clubs. Shops, restaurants, super markets and beach is located next to hotel. 15 min from Heraklion and 10 min from Hersonissos (by car). All in all, our stay in Gouves Bay happens to be above our expectations. A big Thank you to all the hotel team, you are doing a great job !! We hope to come back again !!

Wi-fi not so good signal

It was really nice to stay at the Gouves bay hotel, but the bartender (Kostas) made it better to stay and he made a best cocktails at the bar and also was very friendly guy, the best bartender!!

The food was not that good that we expected
