Clean comfortable hotel room for the price was reasonable
Arrived at 10pm, maintenance issues meant our room still wasn’t ready when we arrived and that they had to put another bed in there as it wasn’t set for the 3 of us, but forgot to also replenish enough supplies for 3 so only had enough things for 2 hot drinks and one towel for the shower which wasn’t ideal, other than this a good stay :)

Nothing really, I couldn't remember any proper positives.
The room was small (we selected a family room with a sofa bed) and while the sofa bed is open, you can't use the desk or the chair because they're blocked due to the room's small size. Breakfast was blunt. The staff were unhelpful and unfriendly.

Sehr nettes Personal an der Rezeption und auch das Putzpersonal war freundlich, super sauberes und konfortables Zimmer. Ganz nahe vom Flughafen und sehr praktisch. Kann ich nur empfehlen.

I had no problem with the hotel itself, it was very good. My concern is that although it calls itself Holiday Inn Express London Heathrow T5 it is in fact quite a long public bus ride (about 25 minutes) from Terminal 5.

We had an early morning flight and the location and transfer to T5 was excellent.
We had a problem with toilet flushing and then making a noise afterwards a few times. Did not report as we left early and reception not staffed.

Great location convenient and straightforward. I felt comfortable as a lone traveler.
You cannot open the windows- no fresh air. There is air conditioning but not ideal.

The bed was comfortable
The shower in the room was broken and completely unusable. The bathroom was also dirty with an old used towel still in it- probably to mop up from the broken shower. The bedroom carpet was wet. Paint was peeling from the ceiling.
The hotel is some distance from Terminal 5 and there is no shuttle. It's very difficult to get from terminal 5 to the hotel (much easier the other way) and this should be made clear in the booking details.

The ambience of the hotel was great. The staff were warm, polite and helpful. Breakfast was great too ( I loved forward every morning)

Location, cleanliness, house keeping staff and reception staff.
The bar staff in the evening, not accommodating, rude they are abrupt. They generally need to have genuine customer service skill training. When my sister asked for a glass from behind the bar, one bar staff made her get one from other side of the room, even though she could have just passed her one from where he was standing. She just needed it for her tablets. Also both nights we wanted hot drinks they just kept saying hot drinks machines are off and didn’t really care. Surely they could have organised hot drinks for the guests at 9pm at night? Some people don’t want alcohol and you have all the flashy Costa signs which makes you want one.

Nice room with a lot of comfort, all in all everything else was on point. Very friendly & helpful staff.
My room curtains were very dusty and dirty.

Nothing great disappointment
The staff at the desk were not very helpful, they just weren’t very welcoming from my experience with them. I felt like I was judged the minute I walked through. I was asked the registration for my car and then I was told I had to pay £16 per car for the stay shockingly that’s disgusting for a hotel, to pay for my parking. Like that should be stated on your website or hotel page as maybe I could consider other means of arrival rather than getting ripped off.
I walked around the hotel to find a window so I could use the app “PayByPhone “ to pay for my parking and I could not see the carpark despite trying several angles. The ground floor was only fire exit doors which meant, I had to go out the building from the entrance. I went to the reception in hope they could give me the code as it would be a common question asked by the guests and I was told as a woman by a male I had to walk outside and around and get it myself. That was disgusting. I ordered food to cheer myself up after my long flight only to be told I had to come down and collect my food as staff do not deliver the food to the rooms. Can you tell me what exactly you have charged me for? The service was so poor and disappointing.
I was soooo disappointed in my stay that I decided to leave after a couple of hours. I came at 16:30 and I left at 21:00.

The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect and not too far from Heathrow airport. 8 would recommend this hotel to friends.

The rooms were not properly ventilated.
I stayed for 5 days, and they had the same breakfast spread everyday. I tried speaking to the manager to convey my dissatisfaction and he commented that it was as per IHG standards. I have stayed in multiple IHG properties across the world and I know this to be false, unless UK IHG standards are different.
The bathroom sinks clogged up.
The housekeeping was wiping the bathroom with guest bath linen. And doing the dusting with bed linen (pillow cover). Horrific
The bathlinen was old and tearing up.

The name of the hotel I booked Ied me to believe it was within/ near T5 Heathrow Hotel. unfortunately it was miles away. we arrived late in the night and when we asked if there was bottled water available we were directed across the road to a supermarket!
