Convenient location close to all the action. We really liked how the rooms have been recently modernised.

🤷‍♂️ shower floor was a little slimey. possibly residual cleaning product?

The location, the friendly staff and that it is like a village.

The kitchen is always a mess. There are no lockers in the rooms, not even a shelf or something to put your stuff. It just goes on the floor. Same with the showers, nothing to put the shampoo and stuff.

Rooms are a little tired. Hostel is massive and has two pools, tons of open space.

Location was great. Room was large. having kitchenette in the room was good

Not very clean. Staff were unhelpful, felt like we were an inconvenience to their day.

Ideally located and private rooms were v spacious with fridge, kettle etc. Staff seemed friendly and it was great having the 2 pools

Can’t speak for the dorms but the private rooms were nothing like advertised. No Tv which as pictured (not the end of the world at all but misleading) and they were essentially like staying in a garden garage. V v plain, a bed is pretty much all that there is aside from 1 bedside table and a fridge. They were also not the cleanest… the door splitting our room from the one next door was about as thin as paper so not sound proof at all. Did do the job as a bed for a few days whilst we were out exploring but deffo not as nice as it’s made out to be!

private rooms absolutely massive beds comfy lots of electrical points big fridge/freezer nice and busy - good social atmosphere

bad wifi lights not working, loose sockets, toilet constantly running water rooms could be cleaner massive gaps under the doors for insects and lizards to get through (which they did!)

Location is great, and some of the more renovated 'houses" where nice with own bathroom. I stayed two nights in different rooms. First night was good, camping feeling.

Second night (different room) was horrible. Hole in the wall next to my bed, privet bathroom was super dirty and kitchen was dirty as well. Also wasn't lucky with my (vaping) roommates. Rude staff in the kitchen cleaning it, I just took my food out the fridge in the early morning, with permission of the reception. Too expensive for the experience, but they know they can ask it because of Whitsundays tours. I would recommend staying somewhere else.
