The location was very scenic. The room was large and equipped with all the items a person would need on their holiday. The shower was hot with good pressure. Towels were soft and fluffy and fresh milk was provided to the fridge.

Rooms are immaculate with attention to detail and everything u need at your fingertips. Sue and Harvey are great hosts and truly welcome you into their home. This is my go-to get-away way-cation of choice. Breakfast is included and it is hearty and a great way to start the day. When Sue and Harvey welcome you into their home... they welcome u home.

Homely environment with beautiful views down to the water. Hosts Sue and Harvey were most accommodating and provided a scrumptious breakfast. Most comfortable beds ensured a great night's sleep.

Harv & Sue were great hosts! We arrived after a very difficult drive and it was like coming home!
Beautiful accommodations with a view! Nice little touches to add to the experience….. a Canadian flag was flying just outside our spacious room. Very clean! Great breakfast with great conversation every morning! Highly recommend!

A cooked breakfast on top of the usual Continental breakfast items was welcome!
Sue and Harvey made us very welcome and we enjoyed our chats with them over breakfast and out in their garden.
Our room and ensuite were very well appointed.
Being up in the hills north of Whitianga meant a quiet stay, but still within a 10 minute drive to downtown.
Nothing really: it was all as advertised on their personal website and was exactly what we were looking for.

Peaceful and quiet. Comfortable and like home. Big king size bed. Microwave available for DIY meals. Cutlery and crockery supplied. Hosts were very nice, friendly and helpful traditional New Zealanders. Great cooked breakfast. Cats live here, and next doors dogs greeted me. Birds tweeting in the morning.
All good for me, as I had transport, but it's way up a hill at the back of town, about 2.5 k from the centre, so you need a vehicle.

Nothing could have been better, it was quiet, warm and comfortable, the hosts were very amiable and easy to talk to.

Hot shower only lasts for a short time, less than 4 mins. Next one shower was cold.
Household members had COVID but did not inform us earlier until we were on site.

Harvey & Sue are very good hosts!! They made sure we had everything. They served us breakfast just like family. Had a really good time staying with them. I surely would stay again if visiting whitianga. Awesome house and more awesome and cheerful hosts.

Sue and Harvey's hospitality made you feel at home like you were visiting family. Their breakfasts were a hearty start to the day and their home was emaculate. Already planning a return trip lol.
I didn't like that I ran out of holiday time. Everything else exceeded my expectations.

We really enjoyed the welcoming in to their home, we love the way they were so very kind and caring on arrival and they showed us around their home. To top it off they provided a yummy breakfast thanku so much we highly recommend these wonderful couple. 🤗💕

Everything exceeded our expectations and enjoyed the morning breakfast's with our hosts.
We just loved our stay and thoroughly enjoyed the time spent with our hosts in the mornings before venturing out on our mountain climbing and bush walks around the many mountains and DOC walks.
