great locaties with beautifull view over de lagoon. Mike was very friendly and made us feel like home. Rooms are very clean, nicely decorated and spacious and breakfast was very good. When we return to Knysna, we will come back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, the setting, scenery & view is beautiful. Bollard House was so welcoming - Mike is an extremely nice gent & very informative! The rooms were lovely - comfortable & very clean. The breakfast was delightful with everything you would want & Mike & the team were very attentive, arriving extra early to do our breakfast the day we were leaving! Leisure Isle is a short drive to the waterfront in Knysna so you would need a vehicle but there are lots of restaurants nearby to get lovely food - great pizza & sushi at Nina’s!

No faults with Bollard House - one tip - the majority of restaurants on Leisure Isle do not have a alcohol license but you can take your own so be sure take a bottle along :)

Loved everything but as with seemingly all South African hotels / guest houses in general the pool was more of a plunge pool than length swimming one. That’s not a complaint merely a fact and we knew what we were getting. Didn’t spoil our stay at all.

Mike, the manager, was awesome followed closely by his wonderful team.

Mike was the most wonderful host. The location is beautiful on Leisure Island. Definitely one of the most beautiful areas of Knysna.

What sould I say: Definitely a perfect place to stay in Knysna. Everything was perfect: the host, the room, the bed, the breakfast! It was SUPER nice and super safe!

Travelled with my partner for a weekend. Special thanks to the staff Yoliswa, Cynthia and Babes, they were very nice ,sweet and accomodating. Mike was also an amazing host, very friendly and made our stay confortable. Exceedid our expectations.

Amazing views over the Knysna lagoon and the Knysna heads...if you any closer your toes would be in the water. Very upmarket and spacious room with extra large bed...Mike the perfect host..extremely friendly and knowlegable. Awesome breakfast made with attention to detail. May God bless you and your family and this amazing location with many people coming through your doors.

Ballard Bay House is truly amazing. Mike and his wife are the sweetest... also the best breakfast.

Mike and Cynthia was really friendly, Mike was there to meet us and gave us an upgrade. The breakfast was great. Mike also told us some places to visit to make the most of our trip.

Amazing location, comfortable and beautiful accommodation.

Location is perfect and Mike was super accommodating and friendly.

The water pressure in the upstairs room wasnt great when the room below was running water or showering at the same time, this should be looked at as its a relatively simple fix.

The host and the staff were really warm and engaging. We loved the location in the Island. Stone throw away from the Bolard Bay Beach and a few kilometers from the Knysna heads.

Breakfast options were not great. Particularly on cereals, juice and hot beverage options.

Unfortunately we stayed only one night in this wonderful place, but we liked it very much. The whole house is very nice equipped and there is a very familiar atmosphere. Location is perfect!
