Beautifully restored historic building with all the modern amenities. Very convenient location in the old town with picturesque walks. Chitose our concierge was really punctual, attentive and helpful. Helpful guidebooks in the accommodation helped guide us for a smooth and fulfilling experience in Takayama.

our host Juri was so kind and helpful. we loved Takayama and really enjoyed the apartment. the sauna and bath were very enjoyable. the Japanese breakfast was also delicious.

the living space was a little tight for the 5 of us, but large by Japanese standards.

The bathroom is on the lower floor, away from the bedrooms with an old-fashioned (I.e. very steep wooden) staircase between them.

The onsite bath was amazing, super big took about an hour to fill. Your very on onsen. I have been to many places and never had a private bath this big!

The property is incredible! my boyfriend and I were traveling around Japan for two weeks, and this Ryokan was the biggest highlight of our trip. The building is beautiful, the rooms are traditional and gorgeous, the Onsen is relaxing and magical, the meals were delicious and varied, it’s just all-around a once in a lifetime experience.

I can’t think of a single thing we didn’t like. We had a perfect stay!

everything . there is nothing to gripe about. it was as per the photos. great space, tillers for everyone n great location near to old town n by the river . service staff was superb. she was so attentive and responsive to everything . we were late n my phone ran out of battery n was unable to contact her the usual way. I left msg on fb, email n called. she responded pretty fast as she was perhaps looking out for us . she speaks good English n also took the initiative and helped us booked all our restaurants for dinner. we really enjoyed our stay n hospitality of Iori. would definitely stay in any of their properties again

Staying at Iori Miyagawa was one of, if not the most, efficient processes I have ever witness staying at a short term rental. They exceeded my expectations and then some.

Literally nothing. I don't often given reviews, but this place was beyond perfect and deserved a review. Again, I could not find a single issue with this property. Absolutely amazing experience all around.
