We were a family of 12 (Grandma plus 3 daughters, husbands and grandchildren aged 11-16). We have never seen a place so well equipped! There was copious amounts of crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils and all in very good condition. We made good use of the very large wooden dining table that sat 16 as we ate together nearly every night. There was plenty of hot water - it never ran cold. The children enjoyed the swimming pool which was cleaned during the week. The house was very quirky, and it took a while to find your way around. It was very large with numerous sitting areas! The gardens were tidy and well kept with lots of sitting out furniture. Covered parking for 3 cars was a bonus and you could have parked another 2 easily. The house is in a little village and just off the fast road so was excellent in terms of getting out and about in our cars. The cleanliness was excellent and lots of lovely white soft towels too. Soap, bubble bath and shampoo, dishwasher tablets and washing up liquid was all provided. There was also a bowl of fruit and ice cream in the freezer. (Note the owner - we would advise supplying plastic/oil cloth for the dining tables to protect the beautiful finish of same.)

Did not like the hunters trophy's mounted on the walls - we all felt very sorry for the animals (we did know beforehand that these were there as we'd seen the pictures online). We found there was no kettle (fortunately we had packed two ourselves). Could do with an extendable washing line in the garden. The house was filled with objet d'art - which gave the feeling of clutter. Although the younger children enjoyed watching the automatic grass cutter at work - as it didn't collect the grass cuttings, these were left behind and made it impossible to enter the property without taking off your foot ware at the door so as not to walk grass everywhere.
