Margherita was a super host! She and her dad welcomed us to a huge old palazzo apartment very close to the main attractions of Matera. The apartment is very big and comfortable and clean ! We only stayed for one night but it was a great find and we were deeply appreciative for all she did for us! Mille Grazie!!!

Advertised free parking is actually turn out to be parking your car in the street if you can find a spot (nothing related to the accommodation). Although this is not a very big issue, it would be better if we had known beforehand and program accordingly. The room is old with uncomfortable beds.

Location is perfect - 5min wallk to the center. Clean bathroom.

No elevator in the building!

Location was fantastic. Apartment was clean and well presented. Landlady was friendly and used a translation app to try to help us. AC was available in1 bedroom and kitchen. Shower gel, coffee and water was also provided

No AC in 2 of the 3 bedrooms (fans provided just circulated hot air).

The apartament is really big, it was clean and very close to the city center. Really good value for money. There is no elevator and the apartment is situated on the third floor, I think. Anyway, the stairs seemed neverending with luggage.

In my opinion, it is unacceptable that the hosts don’t speak or understand a single word in English. Also, the apartment has 3 bedrooms and we were 5 persons. Nevertheless, we needed all the 3 bedrooms as we weren’t couples. That is why we searched and reserved an apartment with 3 bedrooms. However, when we arrived only 2 bedrooms were prepared, as the hosts assumed that we would only need 2 of them, claiming that I should have told them that we need all three of them. Well, no, I shouldn’t have told you that I need all 3 bedrooms, because I reserved an apartment with 2 bedrooms. If you want to only prepare 2 bedrooms (to save the money for laundering or God knows what other unacceptable reasons), you should be the one to ask. Anyway, the apartament is ok, good situated and it was clean. But really I could not wait to write this review in order to be able to express how unacceptable I found their behaviour. And also, it is 2020, it is unacceptable to not be able to communicate in English, especially when you are involved with tourists!
