parking was a challenge but that’s just because of being in a town. nothing to be done there and to be expected

it’s in a great location and the dining area / kitchen (& tables outside on the back balcony by the kitchen) make a great place to cook the great stuff you get from the market and meet others. Cristina is great and really tries to help

I have earplugs so not a biggie for me but being opposite the shared bathroom means I know more about other guests inside than I wanted to! it’s great that there is also the small second bathroom/shower but same applies if you’re eating there 😊 no one there during all check in/out times so you need to negotiate for entry / luggage pick up would be helpful to have standard set of notes perhaps 🤔

Excellent location, all good, quiet and clean, the host very useful, supported at any request. Great terrace, I will surely come back! Olhão is a lovely village, safe and the beach at the nearby island is very peaceful spot where to relax yourself.

We had the most wonderful time in Olhaõ. Cristina and her brother were welcoming hosts. We really appreciated staying at their place. The appartements also have a nice roof terrace.

Outstanding in every way. So much thought into detail to make your stay comfortable and memorable. Clean, light, beautifully furnished, warm welcome, cooking facilities amazing, roof terrace magical at night and hot water.

Apartment and roof terrace are tastefully furnished. The cleanliness is exemplary. Cristina is very personable and empathetic. There is a pleasant, unobtrusive atmosphere among the different guests

Perfect location, great cleanliness, and the staff was nice and understanding. The rooftop has a good view. The location is close to the seaside and to the train station.

Price is a little bit on the high end, and there is a hefty late check-in fee.

The building is beautiful inside and the decoration is really lovely - very simple and minimalist style. Light and airy with beautiful wooden floors and an amazing roof terrace. Very tastefully decorated. Cristina is an excellent host - extremely kind and helpful.

We were delighted with our rooms and loved the building (blend of old and new). Cristina was thoughtful and keen to share information regarding the property and Ohlao. Lovely recommendations for restaurants etc. Useful to be able to contact her by text. Ohlao, is as we had read, an authentic and charming town.

Some street noise at night - but to be expected.

I had a wonderful time at Olhão. I arrived for 4 nights and my time at the adorable Cristina's place made me feel so confortable and cozy that i decided to stay for another 4 nights. The room was delicious, the bathroom and shower very nice as well. The kitchen had all the equipment i needed to cook breakfast and lunch. Cristina was available to take care of all my needs in an very kind and gentle way. And the place is extremely well located, right innthe center. At the end of the days, just before sunset, i could even chill out at the huge rooftop and contemplate the wonderful ballet of the andorinhas. I super recomend Al Casa Grande and im.looking foward to come back!

Who travels to Olhão, proves a sense of real life. A real city with an everyday life full of contrasts, with very beautiful but also, let's say, less beautiful areas. Here the Algarve still feels authentic. And yes, the people are working on almost every corner, shaping the future without giving up their own identity. In the middle of the historic center full of atmosphere is the spacious, modernized old building apartment of Cristina, with pleasantly short distances to all important facilities. A wonderful place to experience the real Portuguese way of life and warm hospitality. You'll live in an airy, tastefully designed apartment and feel more like you're in Lisbon.... . On the great roof terrace you can breathe a sigh of relief, it's actually Olhão, so you got on the right plane after all. Reading protects you from surprises. Kitchen and bathrooms are shared, but there is nothing missing, you have enough privacy and freedom to live your own rhythm. Just try it out, you will not be disappointed and if there should be any problem...Cristina will charmingly help you with words and deeds. That´s it.
