Lovely hotel, helpful staff, very good leisure center / pool

My only problem was the Sauna which was only luke warm, and even though I said it on the first day nothing changed so I can only assume it needs a service

The room seemed dated compared to some of the others. Breakfast was excellent with plenty to choose from. the staff were very pleasant and helpful.

A little let down by the bar meals. Our room did have coffee, tea but only one biscuit even though there were two of us staying. this was not rectified for the second night. We were looking forward to the forest walks only to be told that they had been closed off to the hotel some time earlier.

Everything was fantastic, staff, reception and food. Room was super comfy and modern. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The restaurant was very good particularly the lady who welcomed us at breakfast and was also generally very helpful & pleasant. Breakfast was very good...with one exception...young children handling bread & other breakfast items....then putting them back & other guests taking them unwittingly. We had dinner one evening which was reasonable but service wasn't great. We didn't use the spa so can't comment but it appeared well used by other guests.

The welcome at reception upon arrival and during our stay was poor. We didn't get a warm welcoming feeling instead it felt cold.Also the lifts were out of action the whole time. The room we stayed in was ok however it had minimal furnishings, wardrobe space, etc. My spouse also felt the room was dark & gloomy. Our room was on the ground floor and on both mornings there were trade persons vans parked outside our window meaning we were unable to open the curtains to allow a cool breeze in. Also we felt that there is a serious lack of attention to detail especially when it comes to overall room cleanliness..... windows, curtains, carpets etc.

Staff were fantastic, food was great, bar was good fun. Swimming pool was excellent. Always willing to help. Good location, easy to park.

Some parts are a bit old fashioned. Front door should be electric so that you can walk through with suitcases easy. In the bar I caused a panic by asking for a cocktail. I would recommend making the cocktails Daquiri and Pisco Sour.

Location

Had a smart tv but the remote was not a smart remote. It was a remote that turned on the tv, controlled the volume, and scrolled through the channels one at a time. No access to information about channels/what’s on now. Could not even read the information about the hotel which was on the TV. Could not access our tv subscriptions to watch a movie. Bar needs a major update- a bit outdated and music was very loud- sat in the lobby Beautician closed over the long weekend even though the hotel was open and full.
