Perfect for a family gathering in the summer. We just wanted a long weekend getaway in the early spring, but I could see the house being the perfect summer house. House was very clean and set up to accommodate large families. Large kitchen that was well stocked with everything you might need. Nice fire pit out front that adults could gather around while kids played basketball or on the play set. There is another fire pit on the lakeside. Lovely sauna and hot tub. Kids would enjoy the basement which is set up for both young and older kids. Don’t let the stairs deter you. Teens could easily get up the stairs to the two bedrooms and bathroom upstairs. If the spiral staircase was intimidating to the basement the basement is still accessible by sliding doors outside, so people could go around or out the back deck to get to the basement. Very peaceful and quiet on a small lake.

Great property - large kitchen - hosts are super accommodating

This was a perfect location for our annual family vacation. Very clean house and property and as listed. Plenty of room for the 16 of us (ages 2 months to 65). The outdoor sauna and wood fired hot tub were an excellent plus. Quiet little lake with clear water and sandy bottom. The kids loved the water slide, kayaks and fishing off the dock. The house was clean, spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped. The water was the best we've ever had at a northern Wisconsin rental and we had seemingly unlimited hot water. The Wifi was also very good. The lake is private and nice for swimming or fishing (small to medium pan fish). We used the row boat and the two sit-in kayaks which were in usable but very rough shape. The two fire pits were great. We saw a lot of wildlife. The owners were very responsive. All but one of the bedroom closets had wire closet systems for hanging and folded storage. The spiral staircase in the house is extremely awkward with steep narrow treads. In my opinion, it is an accident waiting to happen. And unfortunately it is the only means of access to two of the upstairs bedrooms and the basement. We would have liked window coverings on all the bedroom windows for privacy and light control. We did not use the sauna or hot tub partly because the tub would have to be filled and emptied using a garden hose and heated by a wood fire. Too much work when on vacation.

We had 10 people on vacation. The youngest 16 and the rest adults. The home was beautiful, spacious, and offered ample areas for all to feel like they have their own space but also a great area for all to gather. Alex and Nina rocked! Such gracious hosts! Attentive to our needs and on the ball with any questions or concerns. They even brought us cake! We would return in a heartbeat!

While we really enjoyed our stay at this property, there are a few things future vacationers should know: We we’re very excited about having a hot tub and sauna available at this location. What we did not realize is that you have to fill and heat the tub before you can use it. The tub is heated by fire stove, so it take 2 hours to heat up. You must also drain the tub when you are done. It also was not clear to us via the pictures that 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms are only accessible by using the steep winding staircase (Downstiars with bathroom and pool table could also be accessed by exterior entrance). We enjoyed the fire pit by the house. There is also a fire pit down by the lake. The lake is a small, quiet lake that is great for paddle boarding and kayaking.

We had 14 people of varying ages. The stairs going up and down are not safe for older people. One of the stair steps is broke. Kitchen could use more cooking supplies- can opener was broke, no dishcloths, numbers on stove were worn out, but plenty of glasses. Many things “broke” when we were there- dishwasher shelf, front door lock. A broom or vacuum would be nice to have available. Make sure to bring your own toilet paper and soap. 2 of our bathrooms didn’t have any soap and no extra toilet paper so we had to buy both in town. A few days of a handyman to fix things and update would make the price worth it. Communication with the owner is excellent.

We had a great time there! There is so much things to do and to explore. The house was very clean and everything was easy to find. We brought corn to feed deers and they where all around the house, we also fed them. It was an amazing experience! Kitchen was fully stocked. We will definitely go back!

The front of the house has a generous asphalt-paved area that we played a lot of catch, badminton, corn hole, etc. Alex was readily available to answer questions. Thank you!!

it was very simple to set up and a beautiful home we were there with 11 people and had plenty of room. The sauna was wonderful and hot tub was nice. Plan on going back in the future. Nice town and great supper clubs around for diner. Good place to chill and refresh you batteries.
