The location and view mainly
A lot of people running in the corridors during late hours, felt a bit like a hostel jejeje but overall I didn't bother a lot about, just would like to note this.

Location, the building. The staff is really good, always willing to help. Amazing with children. Great breakfast. We loved it.
Big room. Beautiful balcony with view.
The common spaces could look more to the park, to give a sense of openness.

The location was perfect, right next to Retiro park, nearby Prado, botanical garden etc. Really lovely walks in the neighborhood. The hotel was clean and nice-looking. Room for 3 was well-sized. Breakfast was fantastic. You could order your eggs, omlette etc, there was plenty of choice and even fresh smoothies. I
The bathroom was not functional. Once you use the shower, the whole bathroom is flooded, including the toilet. Even if you try to be careful, its just designed in the worst imaginable way. I guess the bathroom also did not have a floor heating which means that in winter, it will be not only wet but also cold (the floor was literally flooded). Our room had the most unfortunate view - inside the hotel yard - its just a smelly small open space surrounded by walls on all four sides. When the window is open, there will be no breeze coming in, only kitchen and garbage smells.

The location of the hotel is good. The size of the room is good. Breakfast was very good. The staff is exceptional: very polite, supportive, and warm.
Pillows are not good at all. The upholstery of the chairs in the room was very dirty. Must be cleaned or changed.

Location is excellent. Shower was nice ..
And luckily air condition worked very well
Reception staff was very friendly
I got a special rate deal from booking and I thought I'll treat myself for a luxury hotel for my birthday.. I was told sadly that twin beds rooms have inner court view and they can only offer me first floor rooms.. the room was missing alot of amenities and products (no kettle ) one would assume they had a housekeeping supervisor to check on rooms ...Shame.. these small hotels makes a reputation by paying attention to details ..

Location was fabulous and they surprised us with a honeymoon treat of cava and desert.
Small details. A nightlight was missing from one side of the bed, toilet paper holder was missing, and the shower wasn’t intuitive.

The room we chose was high up, with a lovely view to Retiro park andthe attractive buildings oppositeThe room was pleasant and the shower room was spacious.
The breakfast was brilliant, great choice, nicely displayed.
Good to have a kettle and choice of tea bags, no decaf, but 2 tiny pots of milk only- for 2 people, bit stingy? I expect more for the price.
Initial pot of drinking water is free, but subsequent in the mini bar, overpriced.

I really enjoyed the stay, great all round.
I gave you a 9 because the bed was too squeaky, it made a bit of a racket every time we moved.

No pool, no gym, slightly expensive for what we got

Position, staff, cleanliness all excellent.. good restaurant near by. Walking distance to the Prado etc all good. Taxis no problem.
Decor looks cheap. Bathroom floor slippery when wet and the shower floor is so slippery it is dangerous. We put towels down which helped a great deal.

Great location within walking distance of all the main attractions and just opposite the Retiro Park. Big room with plenty of room for our family of four.

Hi everyone, my name is Olivia, and I'm here to share my experience of staying at "Petit Palace"! Sorry for the long review! :) Hope it helps haha :)
From 6th December to 21st December, my family and I went on a 16-day trip to Spain. And one of the hotels we stayed in was Petit Palace. ( We stayed in Room 109 or 110, I forgot lol)
Firstly, wonderful hotel, the staff was SO kind! Special mention to "Laura"! (Sorry I couldn't really remember the name, Laura should be correct hehe)
When we first checked in, Laura told us that our room was not ready yet and that she would text us once our room was ready. Then, she helped us to put our luggage and bags in the storeroom. I know many of you might be thinking, "Isn't what hotel staff is supposed to do?" But Laura was REALLY kind and patient, and she was one of the KINDEST, and CARING hotel staff I had EVER met while staying at a hotel overseas.
Location-wise, the hotel had a wonderful location! If you exit the hotel and walk 5 minutes to the left, you will see this GIGANTIC roundabout. In the evening, a lot of people would eat at the restaurants and bars there. You could even go shopping at hot brands, for example, MANGO! It's a really cool place, and my family went to one of the restaurants there to eat one evening.
Breakfast service: The breakfast was SO good, and my personal fav was the BACON. It served bacon even better than SINGAPORE, and every single day for breakfast, the first section I would go to was the "Meat section". The breakfast service was the typical breakfast you would expect; muffins, biscuits, candy (for the kids hehe), bread, (you could toast it yourself), juices, milk, soya milk, even lactose intolerant food (they really go the extra mile!)!
If you guys wanna see my whole Spain journey, I have a SPECIALISED youtube channel for ALL my vlogs (NOT ONLY SPAIN VLOGS! I have cruise vlogs, and daily life vlogs too!
I think something that could have been done better was:
1) The furniture was a bit old because we know that the hotel building is a bit old, (but kinda looks like a mini palace haha), so the leather on the master bed was peeling off, and the sofa was a bit old too :(
2) The 2nd bathroom was TOO close to the master bedroom! The toilet sewer system was also bad, and when we slept, there was a bad smell coming from the bathroom :(
That's all :) I would still recommend this hotel to my friends and family though :)
