Awesome location, with lovely spacious accommodation units with outdoor areas to braai, etc.

I felt there could be a nice indoor restaurant offered to guests and that the pool area building could be smartened so it ties in with the room units these are lovely.

I’ve been coming to villacana since I was a child with my family. Bringing my own family was something important to me and overall we had a great time. The kids club was great and I just love that the grounds and facilities are the same as I remember from years ago. Our apartment was huge and had everything we could have possibly needed.

A few issues this year I’m afraid… the bed in the master bedroom was not comfy at all. The main pool area is lovely however it was a big disappointment that “splash time” was only one hour a day- right in the middle of kids club. We spent a lot of money on floats and our girls hardly got to use them. Another, more serious issue was the steps in the indoor pool were not secure. My 4 year old slipped off it and cracked her front tooth. It was the day we were leaving so we didn’t have time to put in a formal complaint on this.

Villas were really nice, clean, really friendly staff, villas had everything we needed during our stay. Multiple pools to use, main pool had a happy hour (!!),

The location is a bit difficult if you don’t have a car. Either reliant on Spanish buses (not the easiest or most reliable), or taxis (price added up!). Limited sun beds, mostly due to a high number of guests ‘reserving’ with towels and not actually using them till hours later. Would be great if a bit more policing of ‘towel’ bed reserving was conducted.

The bed was atrocious. probably the most uncomfortable bed I have slept on in a hotel and the headboard creaked every single time you moved which was super annoying. Also was given a twin room when I booked a double which was a little bit annoying but just pushed the beds together. Staff - the Spanish lady on reception and all the gardening team who came across were very friendly, everyone else seemed a little bit uninterested. Communication when we checked in wasn’t great either, we were told opening times for the restaurant which then wasn’t open and was only food at the pool bar, opening times for Lisa’s shop were also wrong (not entirely sure that’s the hotels fault) we weren’t told where the umbrella was for roof terrace, weren’t advised on towel changes or room cleaning at all.

The resort was extremely clean and well looked after. The apartments had everything you needed. They also provided a welcome tray; water, biscuits etc. lovely quiet resort close to the beach.

Very clean accommodation. Had everything you need. Towels etc provided. Shops and restaurants close by. Beach was amazing and very close Very friendly staff. Beautifully kept Would definitely recommend and would love to come back

Pools quite deep for the children. One of ours got scared on the first day as they couldn't touch the bottom. There is a lifeguard and make sure you bring floats. Single glazing in some rooms did mean the noise travelled, which is hard when you have young children trying to sleep. It looks like they are replacing the windows.

the gardens are absolutely immaculate. we travel round the world a lot and these garden for. development situation are amazing. really impressive. Everything very clean. super helpful staff. Sightly lacking in restaurants but the new restaurant on the beach at the bottom of the grounds was really good.

Amazing. Nice spacey rooms. Very nice pattio’s and beautiful gardens. Lovely swimming area. Perfect location near a lot of things to do: Easy access to the beach. Walking distance to a few good restaurants. Short drive to Estepona; our favorite place in Andalusië. Highly recommended.

One point of improvement, the beds were not that comfortable.

Towel and bed linen mobile racks were left in front of our appartment door for three days for no reason.

Nice complex, a bit outdated but tries to keep up 🙂

Location, at least in February feels like in the middle of nowhere 🙂

There was no breakfast, we had a property with a full kitchen.

DIrect beach access was closed for construction. Restaurant and grocery store were not open. Indoor pool and sauna closed at 5 pm, which we were not told when booking.
