The rooms were really nice, a cozy vibe. The owner and the driver were both really helpful and service minded.

The breaksfast was simple and the wifi was unstable. A bit far from the city center, and some of the inventary should get some love by a handyman ;)

Location is far from Arusha and an area where it does not feel too safe to walk around on your own. The common room is small and there is little space to hang out outside.

The ambience was nice. The staff are also good and easy to communicate with. The environment is also good. Room size was good.

There are no signboard at the main road for proper direction. The approach road is also in bad condition.

Glory was an amazing host. She made the best breakfast every morning and advised us in our travels or transport wherever she could! The rooms were better than expected and we had an overall great experience at mambo!

Generator has very limited capacity. We arrived in the dark. The electricity was down due to maintenance in the neighberhood. The capacity of the generator was to low to for an electric kettle.

Mambo Hideaway is a delightful oasis with an outdoor bar and lovely garden. I stayed in the bungalow and it was spacious, comfortable and clean with a good shower. Aziz and Glorie were terrific hosts. Glorie lives on site, takes care of everything, makes a delicious, abundant breakfast and will go out of her way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. She even bought more fuel for the generator so I could access some important messages on wifi. Mambo Hideaway is a great value, run by warm and caring people and I'm very glad I stayed there.

Emailed them several times with questions before I left the US. Did not get a response until the end of my safari, 2 days before check in which created some problems. They do accept credit cards and dollars which is not made clear on their website.

Everything was perfect ! The rooms are very nice and clean. we had the whole house for ourself ! They made dinner for us and it was delicious. Breakfast is also very good !

Glory was a lovely hostess, food (especially breakfast) was delicious. The garden and the whole place are beautiful, beds are really comfy.

Kind of far out of town but easy to get there by Dalla Dalla (maybe 15-20 min)

everything you need for a short stay. apparently issues with electricity are not rare ( not hotels fault) but we didn’t experience it. all was good.

perhaps location as you need a taxi to get to the town but it’s only $9 one way. I still would prefer to stay here rather than more central

Glory and Paulo were absolutely fantastic, super friendly and nice and they helped us out with everything. Glory is a very good cook, if you are lucky she can cook some traditional food for you (like a Ugali kuku), it's absolutely delicious. If you need any serious driver, Johny is your man, he drives safe and is reliable and on time. He drove us at 3 a.m. to the airport (more than 1h away), thanks a lot! The room was clean and cute, there was even a kettle and some fresh coffee to make yourself a nice cup of the famous coffee. The bed was big and comfortable and the bedsheets were very nice.

Sadly the internet is not reliable and very limited, so streaming is impossible (there is also a sign there asking to please not use streaming platform) and video calls difficult. If you are dependent on the internet connection this is not the place for you (hopefullu the owner will change it soon).

The host that welcomed us, cooked and looked after you during the stay was so nice and helpful. The room was simple but nice. Had a coffee station and the garden was very pretty

It needed a little extra tlc to block lots of small holes around the doors as they let in a lot of bugs. The bathroom could be perfect by replacing the curtains and the chipboard with another material

We stayed for 5 nights and really enjoyed our stay. The staff, Glory and Paulo, are absolutely fantastic and really friendly. The room was super comfy, the garden is beautiful and the food was excellent. The best breakfast we've had in Tanzania! The neighbourhood is super chill and the locals are so friendly! We loved it at Mambo hideaway
