Non mi è piaciuto molto la presenza di qualche ragnatela ... odio i ragni !!! E l'assenza del servizio colazione ..

Staff was Fantastic, Especially Bibiala who treated us like family. The property was the closest you can get to the Historic Sassi sites. TWO THUMBS UP!

Die Lage war ideal, 2 min von der Altstadt. Parken ging auch super. Mit der Easypark App kann man gut und günstig parken. Wenn man Glück hat direkt beim Hotel.

The property is newly renovated, modern, and spotless clean.

For the price they are asking for, it doesn’t fit the value they’re offering. For these reasons: 1) We arrived at the property and was given a different room as from the photos posted and as to what we paid and have confirmation for. The property manager even told us if we didn’t like the room they’re giving we are free to cancel and look for another place to stay at (after driving for hours from Bologna to Matera and all we want to do is to rest) and after wishfully expecting a first great night for our honeymoon. 2) For the price paid for a night (162,40€ per night discounted price for Genius member, otherwise around 200€ per night) - at least a breakfast could have been offered. 3) We were asked the main door should be left open (it’s basically opening to the street) and we are left with only glass door and a curtain as security/protection from the outside street. 4) Parking space: free if you’re lucky to find one. Otherwise, you have to pay. 5) Service: the receptionist was arrogant as we communicate the misleading photos on booking and actual room they gave to us. Instead of having sympathy towards our dismay, she’s turning tables to us and trying to send us to go find another place to stay for the night (and again, we drove for hours to get to what we dreamed for our first honeymoon night). My husbands thoughts: The room is too humid, and the noise from the street is infiltrating inside the room (since the front door is open)

The design of the toilet. Glass walls in a bedroom, you are able to see through while your parter doing their business. There is no need for that even on a romantic staying everyone needs a a bit of privacy at times…

Great location, clean, lovely staff, and of course, the huge bathtub 😍

No big deal, but the ceiling seems to be very thin so don't be surprised if you hear the neighbors (especially if they have kids 😅)

Comfortable and good location, just outside the old town in Matera.

Firstly, Serena was an amazing host. She was very accomodating with our arrival times, ensuring early check in and went through a detailed map recommending restaurants and sites to see in Matera which was so helpful as we only had 1 night! The rooms are very clean and modern and have a built in bath which was awesome! The room is super close to the Sassi!

We loved everything about our stay, the lovely warm welcome from Paolo with so much helpful information and the super-modern stylish room so well designed and kitted out with simple but high quality fittings and furnishings. It’s also a brilliant location, you can park easily on the road and in just a few minutes’ walk the iconic sight of Matera’s Sassi opens up before you inviting you to explore. I was originally keen to stay in one of the cave hotels in the Sassi but I’m so glad we chose Hydria Rooms, simply the best!

Curtain instead of a bathroom door. Coffee was provided, which was lovely, but a bit of milk, even the long life kind would have been even better.
