The staff are very friendly and helpful.

It can be very noisy as it is a busy hostel; it is quite expensive for small rooms.

The pool and ocean view are amazing. Good location.

No hot water in the shower and no atmosphere in the hostel.

Location was great (on the beach and right in town). Quality swimming pool. Comfy bed and pillows. WhatsApp group to meet people/keep you updated with activities. Co-working space with free water re-fills.

Wifi in room (Room 1213) was HORRIBLE…worst I’ve had on my 3 month trip thus far. Music blaring (even midweek), making it impossible to sleep. Ear plugs a must. One side of the bed had no power outlet. Check-in staff tried to charge us the 12% VAT tax (which is only paid if you’re Ecuadorian). Cold showers. No doona cover. Bathroom was dirty/smelt mouldy. No TV or fridge in our private room.

Breakfast was good, juice was delicious and fresh and the coffee was great!

The bar at the beach, opportunity to do yoga in the morning and the beds were comfortable.

The hostel has nice offers to get in touch with people and is right at the beach. Breakfast is very good! The personel was very friendly.

We could barely sleep at night because of the loud music of the club next door. Also the room we stayed in hadn‘t been cleaned in days while occupied by other people and wasn‘t cleaned once during our stay. Not even the trashcan next to the toilet. The room felt really gross and you could only walk around in shoes cause the floor was that dirty.

room had a bit of humidity, but in general montañita is like that, a couple of dogs just started a battle in the middle of the lobby, service too slower, on the weekend they are not be able to supply all of the customers, oil in the kitchen burned, all of the products that I ordered tasted like burned, all of the fried products taste horrible, búfalo wings, and mix of Frye sea food, Saturday 2 of July 2022 in the night I ordered two cocktails and the bartender forgot two times my order in the end I got my order 1 hour late.

Selina Montanita had a great location and staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The girl at check in was great. Food was great. I stayed in a suite and the room was quite large and the AC worked well. I would definitely come back again.

As stated in other reviews it can be a bit noisy at night, but I had expected this, so it was not that big of a negative.

I love that our stay included free entry to the coolest club in town. Awesome ♡
