It was really cozy and comfortable, the perfect air conditioning weather in the room, comfortable bend and pillows

The friendly and very supportive staff were the highlight of our holiday.

dropping the bags of from the car was initially a problem. once we got to reception we were told of the underground car park which has a lift directly into the hotel. the car park isn’t sign posted clearly as you arrive at the hotel.

old but traditional , it was nice and suited me as I got there late and left early ,slept sound enough !

Excellent location close to the town and convenient for beaches and Malaga/Fuengirola/Marbella visits. Also easily accessed from the airport by Bolt or Uber.

Bathroom a little dated. Coffee in room only on first day unless you pay a 2 EUR charge. This was not mentioned at check-in.

The location is great, it's near the gorgeous town of Mijas. The view from the balcony was breathtaking. The hotel staff was kind and helpful.

The parking lot was a mess, muddy after a rainy day. The air conditioning system in the room was obsolete and the bathroom was in my opinion a little too vintage

lots of small details made it a bit disappointing… for example: having to pay extra for safe in the room; plastic glasses in the bathroom packed in yet more plastic (so bad for the environment); towels were pretty basic and should be replaced; bad internet access - and terrible ‘courtesy pack’ of really bad cheap instant coffee and not enough milk and the ‘invitation’ to pay for more should I want it - really not the standard expected of a 4 star hotel…

a bit tired in design

in our room we could hear the next door people and their noise.

We enjoyed the spacious salons, various drawing rooms to hang around at night, daytime or afternoon, especially when the January weather was cold and rainy. The atmosphere was similar to a parador. Even if the hotel is huge(!) it doesn’t feel like that at the entrance and in the lobby. Nice view from the dining room, bar and most guest rooms. This hotel has a huge potential of improvements give the location, the architecture and the number of common rooms for guests. It just needs a caring hand!

Be aware that some of the guest rooms are really faaaar away from the reception. If you are not keen on a long walk back and forth to your room, ask for a room close to the reception. During our visit in late January, the pool was closed (too cold of course), but so was also the GYM.! Why? The breakfast buffet was fine, but there was an absense of healthy options. Too much SUGAR, FAT AND SALT! The Nes-coffe from the machines was horrible and tasted garbage. Please improve the coffe quality! The orange juice was not fresh, but sugar water from dispensers! Even at this time of the year when oranges are at their best in Spain! There is a fairly big garden and out door around the hotel, but can not be used by the guests to walk or hang around. Too bad! Rooms are relatively small, but well kept and warm on a January day. And please: why do you torture your guests with cheap nonsence muzac in every social room where the guests could enjoy a quiete moment of reading or relaxing. Pleas stop the horrible music harrasment! Dispite the numerous draw backs, I would love to return some day!

We had a great room with a view down to the coast

Bed was a little bit lumpy and i prefer a duvet rather than a blanket

The breakfast was excellent. The hotel was spacious and well looked after.

Sadly the bedroom carpets were very dirty and stained. The bedroom was very plain and a disappointment, especially compared to the rest of the hotel. Also the lighting was very poor, arriving after dark, I could hardly unpack. I placed the standard lamp on the luggage rack each evening to give a bit more light! I paid for the upgrade in order to get the tea making facilities. Very unusually, after the very mean supply of 2 tea bags and 2 milk portions were used it wasn't replaced. We were there for 4 nights.

The location was fantastic!

The carpet was filthy, the water from the bath was brown when opened full. Being 4 stars they could use better tea and coffee instead of horrible cheap stuff. Also, they could replace it each day instead of saying you must pay for more. It was a Suite and small details make all the difference.
