Situada en la ladera de una colina, esta acogedora casa de playa contemporánea ofrece vistas a los árboles y al océano de la bahía de Emu. La casa es privada en sus 5 acres, pero a solo 700 m de la playa de 4. 5 km de Emu Bay.
La casa está diseñada como un refugio costero para sus propietarios y tiene una conexión íntima con su entorno arbustivo y el mar cercano.
La ubicación, las increíbles vistas y la casa proporcionan un refugio perfecto, unas vacaciones y un lugar para relajarse.
Las zonas de estar y exteriores están orientadas al norte con vistas al mar y al monte. Uno puede experimentar esta ubicación única desde todas las habitaciones en cualquier momento del día y durante todo el año. El diván de 4 m de largo es perfecto para leer un libro, disfrutar de la vista o de una siesta.
El dormitorio tiene una cama de matrimonio con vistas a los árboles y al océano. Está equipado con un ciclo inverso A / C.
La cocina y la sala de estar son un gran espacio abierto con una cubierta contigua. La cocina de acero inoxidable tiene una estufa de gas y un horno eléctrico, y todos los utensilios y requisitos de cocina necesarios.
Para los días más fríos hay un fuego abierto para calentar el área de estar con la leña suministrada.
Una cama de día de 4 m de largo al final de la habitación se asoma sobre el paisaje hacia el agua.

This house is unique and stylish, with a beautiful view of Emu Bay but not another house in sight. There are lovely art works throughout and the decor is appealing and restful. All the facilities are high quality and very functional. We enjoyed watching stars from the verandah, sitting by the fire, and reading on the window seat. It is a probably a 10 minute walk down to the beach, and there were several koalas and kangaroos around on the property. Emu Bay was a good base to export the island. Highly recommend this house- we loved our stay.

Property is located in a rural setting with a short walk to Emu Bay Beach. House was well furnished. Cecilia was an excellent host with very prompt responses. We appreciated her suggestions for attractions and businesses on the Island. Viewing the kangaroos adjacent to the house while eating breakfast was an added feature.

The property matches the photos. The view is sensational from every room. We had kangaroos, a koala and an echidna come to visit, not to mention the birds and the dolphins in the bay. We loved it! The house is really well equipped, would highly recommend.

Our stay at House on the Hill exceeded all expectations. A beautiful presented home with views from all rooms overlooking Emu Bay and bushland.

Perfect place to relax surrounded by nature
Had a very enjoyable stay in this cosy well designed house with a fabulous view over Emu Bay. A great base for exploring the island or just relaxing watching the local echidnas and kangaroos from the deck or comfy day bed. Would definitely stay here again.

Really cool place! Appreciated the break. Having to go to the blue hut for signal was a tad annoying but nothing that can be done about that. Overall an awesome stay thank you :)

A beautiful little sanctuary, with amazing views!!
This property is everything it says it is… beautifully maintained, spacious and cosy at the same time. The open fire place was our absolute favourite thing… being able to relax to that every night was stunning.
The views from all the windows and deck are breath taking!
Cecilia and Colin were amazing with their information about their property and Kangaroo Island and super friendly to deal with.

Unusual and enticing
We chose this property as it is a little different, away from others and has a wonderful view. We were not disappointed. This was a welcoming place on a weekend with very average weather...the window seat became a favourite with a book and a view. Very clean and great communication with the owners. We enjoyed the indoor and outdoor artwork and the koalas and kangaroos which came in very close. Highly recommend.

Lovely bush setting, lots of native birds and animals to watch while sitting on the deck facing the lovely Emu Bay. One off architecturally designed house with views of the bay from lots of windows.

Beautiful spot
We had a relaxing long weekend here recently. So tranquil and secluded with gorgeous views across the bay. Loved the fire and Cecilia made sure there was plenty of firewood. We would love to return someday! The peace was rejuvenating!

Beautiful view and surroundings
The house is modern, stylish and well furnished with spectacular views of Emu Bay especially early in the morning at sunrise. It is located in a large property that is very tranquil and private. This is a perfect place for a retreat or much needed time out.

Beautiful views from every room and so peaceful. Feels like you're in the middle of nowhere but in fact you're only minutes from lots of beautiful food and vistas.

Lovely property and location
House on the Hill is a lovely property in a very private location. The house is tranquil, comfortable and quiet with great coastal views. The overall cleaning of the house was a letdown. It is about a 20min drive to the nearest supermarket in Kingscote, so basic essentials such as milk, bread, tea/coffee would've been a nice touch for long distance travellers.

The house is really beautiful with a great view. The problem is the cleaner.
It's a beautiful place and we liked the house pretty much. The problem is that you have seen in a minute that it is not proper cleaned. I contacted the owners and there where really nice and helpful. The cleaner came the next day again when we where not there but to be honest, it was not really better. It's a shame and I really think that is the only problem that the owner need someone to rely on.

Perfect stay - luxury eco home with all the amenities you need. Felt like home from the moment we arrived. Only a short trip to main town to top up on goodies. Sitting out on the verandah in the evening was very relaxing. Would definitely return.

We had a very enjoyable week at this lovely home. The house is comfortable, great views of the bay and nice artwork. It is conveniently located 15 mins from Kingscoat and easy reach to the roads to the rest of the Island. We would highly recommend this home.

Perfect spot on the island
We stayed at the house on the hill for 3 nights and couldn’t have asked for a better getaway spot! It was absolutely perfect and we can’t recommend it enough. The property is easy to find, conveniently located 15-20 mins from Kingscote and with views of emu bay we were lucky to enjoy over a glass of wine. The hosts provided us with a list of things to do based on our interests and our only regret is not having had more time on the island. Highly recommended and we will be back. What a wonderful home to stay in. We loved the house, the property and the wildlife. Everything one could want in home stay accommodation, Cecelia and Colin have a home that is warm and enviting , a great hide away on an amazing Island. Loved the outdoor shower .

Beautiful property
The property has a lovely relaxed home feel about it. At night we had a lovely fire and during the day the deck with lovely views is the place to be.the property is large and very quiet with kangaroos and bird life ,close to the beach and easy driving to all kangaroo island has to offer. A joy to stay there.

Lovely hidden treasure
We really loved our getaway at House On The Hill. So relaxing comfortable & well equipped. The private bush land, the fireplace, daybeds to read or soak in the stunning views were lovely & even some wildlife to watch on the front lawn. Such a tranquil place that draws you in more the longer you are there. Recommend it & love to revisit. The call from Colin to make sure all was good was lovely as well.

Just a short note to say how much we enjoyed our week at House on the Hill.It's not very often we get to stay where there are no street lights and the vista at night is as beautiful as the day.We had a lovely time and were sorry we couldn't stay another week.A great place for a relaxing holiday.
