My husband and I stayed at this property and felt it was the perfect find. The hosts were welcoming and so nice. We walked down to the water, set up our chairs and enjoyed the floaters passing. I highly recommend any of their rentals on this property.

The hosts were so friendly and had so many thoughtful personal touches that made us feel welcome! The cabin was clean and updated and adorable with everything we needed, and the river access was perfect! We loved the trees and shade and animals! It was such a great getaway and we will be back!

Location is amazing. Just a min walk from the river. Cabin was furnished with everything you could possibly need. The host even provided supplies to make s’more’s!! This is the cleanest rental we have stayed in. We will absolutely return!!

If you're looking for a quiet get away look no further. Quaint, beautiful and roomy home for 2 with full kitchen and walk-in shower. And don't forget to bring your tubes and river chairs. The calming waters of the Guadalupe await you out the back porch and a short walk down the stone steps for easy access to and a relaxing day on the river. There are also plenty of chairs to sit in just above the river bank. Enjoy your meals on the large back porch while watching the birds at the bird feeders and listening to the flow of the river below. There's plenty of room to take a walk around the beautiful tree covered property. And the wildlife come out at night! While enjoying supper on the porch we saw 2 foxes, a raccoon, and later a group of deer who come out to feed at night. Owners Laura and Carlton are also raising some ducks you can even enjoy visiting with up close. If you need anything during your stay, Laura and Carlton are just a stone's throw away on the property. If they don't have what you need or forgot, they can tell you where to get it nearby. They were great and friendly hosts. So glad we found this beautiful place. Grounds & spot on the river are breathtaking! It was wonderful waking up listening to the river & the birds & the surrounding nature. Cabin was cute, quaint & had everything that we needed. Carlton & Laura are wonderful hosts. Highly recommended!!

Warm welcome by hosts including detailed information about the property and area. Cell service is not great but WiFi provided was excellent. The cleanest rental we have been to, and we have been to dozens this year. The wildlife on the property made it feel like you were in your own animal sanctuary. Water access was perfect, but the property also allowed tons of shade. Beautiful spot for morning coffee and a day full of fun on the river. We already want to come back!

This property was nothing short of amazing. The owners were so helpful and kind. The place was clean, family friendly, cozy,quiet, ect. The spot on the river was perfect for lounging, swimming, fishing, and just hanging out. The wildlife on the property is beautiful. 10/10 will be staying again & bringing back our family.

Cabin is located on the river and located perfectly if want to get out and visit local restaurants and listen to bands that play on weekends. Great place to sit on the river and relax.

This has the perfect place on the River. Great stay. Will be back. The only problem was the shower. It was a little comical trying to take a shower. It would be difficult for a bigger person. Thanks Carlton for sharing your place on the River !

The owners of the property were a dream to work with. They provided us with everything we needed while leaving us alone to enjoy all the beauty. It is very cozy and simple while everything you need is provided. If you have never been down to the Hill country, the river, hills and scenery are quite breathtaking. I strongly encourage you to go stay with them as we are already planning ours again. Thanks again Laura and Carlton!

We went there for the weekend for our 1 year anniversary and also to celebrate us getting ingaged and we had a blast where we were staying at. Everyone was sooooo nice to us and the hostess was amazing. We are planning on going here next year with our kids and every year after that.

Nice, clean, beautiful area with animals of all kinds around. Then you had the river just down the backside of the property. It was so relaxing we really had a nice time.

I can’t imagine more friendly or gracious hosts. The bathroom was a little too small for us , but being able to sit in the shade by the river made up for everything.. we would definitely go back if they had a little larger place

I honestly cannot say enough about Carlton and Laura as hosts. The communication is above and beyond the best I have every experienced through renting a property. Carlton sent excellent detailed instructions on how to locate the property as well as the gate code a couple of days prior to our arrival. He met us at the gate and escorted us to our cabin. He walked us through the details of the land, and then let us enjoy the cabin. The location is perfect. Literally steps down to the beautiful Guadalupe River. They have a hammock and chairs set up for you to enjoy the view. Specials touches are provided such as mosquito repellant, and fresh flowers. They have all the "basics" as well. Toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags, hand soap, kleenex, ect. I'm sure I am forgetting something, but we did not have to purchase anything besides plastic cups - only because we didn't want to wash any dishes. We had a nice relaxing trip. And were able to Uber into Gruene one evening with no difficulties. Oh! Carlton also drove us up the river to put in and we floated back down to the cabin. There is a little grocery store in a small town about 10 minutes away- or New Braunfels/Gruene area is about 20 minutes away. Also, do not be concerned about the Murphy bed. It was just as comfortable as a regular bed. And all the windows have shutters to block out the early morning light. I really have no complaints, and would not hesitate to recommend!
