Perfect for us 5 adults in town for Bears/Saints game, walkable to northern entry to FQ and also Frenchman Street..the seperate rooms were great for privacy and the courtyard/pool for hanging out
Betsy (and her adorable dogs, Mabel and Maude) were there to meet us every morning and the continental breakfast was a nice start to the day!

Our family group of 3 couples stayed and loved the B&B. The 3 guest rooms are themed and very nice. The old house is very cool and there is a nice backyard with pool. Breakfast was good every morning. Betsy is a sweetheart and it was like staying with a friend!!! We will be back!!

We had a great time in Nola! Loved Betsy’s house. She was very nice and we loved her dogs. They were very friendly. Bourbon street was a little further away but Frenchmen street was pretty close. We had never been to that area and really enjoyed it there. We would stay here again.

My friends and I stayed here for our trip in New Orleans. We enjoyed the close proximity to the French Quarter and having a pool to escape the summer heat.

We rented out all three rooms in the B&B. Our group consisted of 7 adults, family and friends. The atmosphere was very comfortable and friendly. The decor was fun to look at. We enjoyed having a pool at our disposal. Betsy was more than accommodating. She always made sure we had what we needed. There was coffee, fresh fruit and other breakfast items every morning. The location is about a 20 minute stroll to the Quarter. We did Uber a couple of times because we were dressed for fine dining. We enjoyed having Mabel and Marge, Betsy’s two basset hounds for company on occasion. She’s very clear though if you are not a dog person, she will keep them from roaming. Would definitely rent again.

We had a great time. Walking distance to delicious local eateries, fun music venues, and the French Quarter. Betsy was so thoughtful, hospitable, and helpful! She made our trip!

Ms. Betsy was awesome! She was so hospitable and easy to work with! She made our stay so comfortable and the breakfast each morning was delicious! I can't express enough how much we enjoyed our stay! Will definitely stay again if we get the chance!

My friends and I were a group of 9 and had a great stay here. We loved the location, and the pool was the perfect way to cool down in the heat and lounge between our explorations of the city. We booked the whole house, and as the listing described this meant privacy everywhere except the kitchen/dining room area. Betsy was incredibly responsive and helpful leading up to our stay and during. We had some dietary restrictions and she was so accommodating and am amazing baker - the continental breakfast was a highlight. We enjoyed the casual atmosphere of the bnb. The dogs are indeed present so just a flag if anyone in your party has allergies. The bnb website (chezpalmiers.com) gives a good sense of the themed rooms. This was really the perfect place for our stay - thank you for everything Betsy!

This was a perfect place to stay for a weekend exploring New Orleans. Walkable to many attractions, easily accessible by road, and a little outside the most crowded areas (but not too far). Betsy was a wonderful host. We rented all three rooms for three small families, and the porch area was a great hang-out space. Thanks so much!

We had a lovely four night stay on New Orleans! So close to activities and within walking distance. Betsy was so very kind, welcoming, and accommodating. We had a wonderful breakfast poolside each morning. Couldn't have had a happier stay.

We had never been to New Orleans before. We chose this B&B and we were truly impressed. Betsy, our host, made it feel like our home away from home. She was awesome! We were a group of 7 and we met down by the private pool every morning and Betsy had a nice breakfast waiting for us. We would definitely recommend!!!

We didn't initially realize this was a B&B, as we booked thru VRBO and were a group of 6, looking to have our own place. Once we heard from Betsy, she was very communicative and friendly, and we knew we were in good hands, despite a slightly different set up than we had planned on. She took GREAT care of us! And for our group, the place worked out very well, especially having the pool area to hang out in the mornings and then later in the day when we were ready to sit down again. Betsy puts on a lovely breakfast spread each morning and is super accommodating. And the location worked out for us quite nicely - close to Frenchmen Street! We may just have to come back.

Our family rented the entire home out. Betsy, Bill, Marge, and Mabel were lovely and great hosts. The beds were comfortable and linens were soft (huge plus!!). The backyard was private. The pool was much smaller than I expected but was fine for our family. If other guests were in the house it would have been a bit crowded. One downfall (not our hosts fault) the neighbors are building a hotel right next door. It’s very LOUD during construction hours. The breakfast offerings were simple but nice. Only docked the property on cleanliness and neighborhood. Yes I knew the location when booking the property… Just wish it felt a bit safer (it was fine but sketchy across Rampart). The bathrooms could have been a bit cleaner but overall everything was decent (I traveled to another VRBO recently and everything was pristine… in comparison this was 4 out of 5).

Everything about our stay from the confirmation, payment process, communication ahead of our visit, the greeting, the host taking care of us the entire time, everything was simply wonderful. We went with two other couples. We all had a great time and would definitely book this again!

Couldn't be happier with this stay. Been to New Orleans dozens of times and this is by far my favorite place to stay. Will stay here going forward. Host is amazing and fun. Great cook too. Was on top of everything and was a joy to talk with when they were around. If you are afraid to walk a bit or want to just drink on Bourbon Street, then you would probably be better off at hotel on Bourbon. But if you want a great place in a good location to reach plenty of the French quarter and city, great place to select. Plus very comfortable and bigger than hotel rooms.

Betsy went above and beyond to make this a special birthday getaway for my mom. She had decorations and surprises for us to make sure it was memorable. Close walk to everything we wanted to see and relaxing at the pool topped of the stay!

Six of us were in town for a girls weekend and were so happy to find this gem of a property! Betsy was the ultimate host, striking the perfect balance between being available, friendly, and helpful without being overbearing. The accommodations were great, the beds comfortable, and the hospitality unmatched. The house is in a great spot within easy walking distance to Frenchman’s and the French Quarter and a quick ride away from other great neighborhoods. We thoroughly enjoyed the back yard space and pool and will be telling anyone visiting New Orleans about this fantastic find!

Fantastic 3 bedroom with pool,
3 blocks from Port of Call, close to French Market, Bourbon and Royal, all you could ask for as a Host, both children ages 17 and 9 asked to stay longer, and forgo any future Hotels on Bourbon, in light of House and Host Betsy, as well as her dogs, my son the 9 year old wants to return to Betsy every year…….fantastic experience,
Could not have enjoyed our 3 night stay any more ,
Pool and house clean and enjoyable……will book again in future with Betsy…….

The charm of this property was only over shadowed by that of our hostess. Our breakfasts were so much more than expected and served in conjunction with our daily itinerary. The rooms were fresh and imaginatively decorated with well placed and well appointed bathrooms. It’s right at the edge of the French Quarter but without the noise. We loved the oasis of pool and totally private courtyard. Your search stops here!

This three bedroom property was perfect for our group of 5 friends (including one couple). The location is just a few blocks from the French Quarter, Frenchmen St. and great bars and restaurants. At the same time, it was super tranquil and a great place to relax in between activities. The pool is particularly key in the New Orleans heat. Our host was very welcoming and helpful, as well as a great baker. Sunday mimosas at the pool, with homemade mini quiches, was a great way to kick off our day. Would 100% recommend.

We had a wonderful at this B&B and meeting Betsy, her adorable bassetts and family. I went to New Orleans with my spouse and 3 teens and we had never been there before. Betsy was very knowledgeable of the area and gave insights when I was unsure of where to go. We went to the WWII Museum, Voodoo Museum, the French Quarter, the Whitney Plantation, had good food. Begniets, et. It was very possible to have a good time without all the partying typical of Bourbon St. This B&B was also a great, quiet respite very close to the French Quarter. We used the pool each day and had ample room (we rented the whole house). The teens were downstairs and we were up and it worked out just fine. I got a kick out of Marge & Mable (the Bassett hounds) and they loved to greet the guests daily. This was a very good experience and trip for us and much needed during the restricting times of Covid. Highly recommended !

This place and Betsy were great - we were looking for a cute cottage with a pool and this place delivered. Betsy was attentive and provide great service and breakfast everyday. We were able to easily walk to all of the great places the Maringy, Bywater, and Quarter have to offer. Note: We felt safe the entire time that we were there but every cab/Lyft drivers checked on us to make sure that we understood your surroundings, so it's worth calling out beforehand so you know to expect it. The Marigny is a pleasant neighborhood but downriver on St. Claude gets a little funky and lakeside from the B&B, the 7th ward, is a little dodgier. Be cognizant of your surroundings. Again, we never felt unsafe, but also knew what to expect.
