A bit old and needs some upgrade

The hospitability of the staff is amazing! We were invited to play tennis with them and to join them in a hilarious late-night Crab-hunt. The food is delicious. We regret we only booked 1 night here. Arigato!

the owners and staff are really lovely and very accommodating. when we arrived, there was a shuttle waiting for us to bring us to the resort and it was for free 🥰 they also offered same when we checked out. the ambience is really relaxing, romantic and cosy. the owners also tried to recommend activities for us to do so we can experience the island more. food was superb and the place is also secure. they also offered free laundry as we stayed there for 5 nights. it was just magical — thank you so much 😊

Friendly staff and owner. Very nice location. Very nice lawn and garden. Very clean. Beachfront, children had fun in the beach. Exceeded our expectation. Worth the price 👍

Very nice place with Seaview and a nice beach too. Balcony was excellent for viewing and drink coffee or beer 🍺. From Garden and restaurant good viewing seaside too. Free good breakfast and The staff were very serviceminded. Very quiet and comfortable. A really relaxing place. 😊😊😊

This is one of the places where our expectations were exceeded! The villa with has Superior Suite with Sea View and Superior Suite was amazing. The whole villa as a work of art. It is much nicer than in the pictures. Staff is very friendly. Good breakfast.

The resort, carden area and room are perfectly beautiful, nice asian decor. Right on a peaceful long sandy beach. Japanice owner couple very friendly and staff is there to meet your requests. If you stay there three or more nights you get free laundry service. Unfortunedly we didnt know about it until after we had got our few items back from the laundry. Hotel rents motorbikes and have connection to outer rental place if you need other kind of motorbike.

Although its nice that the resort is on a peaceful beach, thats why we picked it, would be nice that there was more restaurant options nearby. Just few local restaurants in the port that is about 3-4km away. More hotels and restaurants are at San Juan/tubud beach area that is about 10km away. But easy to get by your rental motorbike or by taxi/motorbike taxi. WiFi was poor in our room, otherwise good at hotels area. Room shower water pressure is very poor, difficult to rinse your self or hair after washing. After owner couple left the property after our first few days, the service level dropped. Staff was hard to find, restaurant and service desk doors were closed often, that they werent when owners were there. The last few days dropped our perfect first impression about the hotel. Everything works when owners are on the property.

Dagman and his wife were the best hosts and the full staff made us feel like family. the resort itself is beautiful, located directly by the ocean with a very natural beach. it is a place of tranquility and peace. even though the place is outside of the center of Siquijor the staff is very helpful to organize trips around the island by tricycle or van, or you could rent a motorcycle directly on the venue. we loved it and would come back anytime!

for guests staying longer than a few days, more breakfast options would be amazing. the beaches nearby were very natural, the tide unfortunately washes some trash to the shore (unfortunately a very common issue everywhere these days)

This place is just wonderful. The location is like a paradise with direct access to the beach. You will hear the waves when you lay in your bed at night and will receive a delicious breakfast after waking up. The Crew is just great. So friendly and attentive. We always found help with everything we asked for.

The staff were fantastic - so friendly, welcoming and helpful. The food was really good with a menu offering Japanese, Filipino and western meals. The place was right on the beachfront in a pretty setting of thatched cottages and gardens. Villa Marmarine is a short ride into Siquijor Town and a good base to see other parts of the island. We had a very restful stay.

Nothing to note

The superior suite with sea view has a beautiful large terrace from which you have a beautiful view. The Japanese owner and 2 employees are very helpful and friendly.

Unfortunately, the beach is very small and swimming is not possible due to the many rocks and stones in the sea. You can see that the whole hotel complex is getting old. The thatched roofs need to be renewed, new paint is needed everywhere, the slatted glass windows need to be replaced with modern glass windows and the big, fat spiders that guard their large webs in the restaurant area don't help to improve the scruffy impression. In the suite with a sea view you could not have a hot shower either. Breakfast was only available from 7:30 a.m. In addition, there was no TV in the superior suite. On the whole, the price of the room per Night with 63 USD is way too high.

The staff was more than amazing, interactive with the guest in a very nice manner, always were available when we needed something. Although the staff were mostly working student, we appreciated all their hardworks making the place all well set up, clean and organized. The food for dinner was tasty in good portion. Apart from there was no much available fish and seafoods. We sing and dance all night long with alcohol available in the fridge but not too much options too.

One room we used the upper part was closed as it was under construction as we have been told. The water from the front beach was really clear but you wont be able to swim and dive because it was too shallow with lots of pitfall and sea orchins.

love the location.. it’s an exclusive small resort but overlooking the ocean and just a few steps at the sea shore..

Nothing! It was a perfect place for my family!

The resort was a nice place to stay for a quiet break. Our room overlooked the water and it was nice to sit on the balcony every evening and enjoy the view and outdoors.

So many things about the resort and it's staff were excellent. We were picked up at the port, rental scooters were available on property, breakfast was delicious and so were the lunches and dinners. ( Japanese as well as European and Filipino cuisine is available ) The rooms were serviced every morning. The property is well maintained and unique in its design. Beach access. And the owners are on-site and very approachable and welcoming. A lovely couple with smiles and warm greetings each time you see them. I will return to Siquijor Island and i will stay at this resort every time.

Unparalleled hospitality! The owners are amazing hosts. I felt at home. On my first day, the owner invited me for a game of tennis. I'm not a tennis player, so he taught me how to play. And it was the most fun I've had in a long time.
