My family enjoined to stay in the house. I would like to thank host, Jenny, for detailed information and quick response on all questions about house, transportation and city. The house is located close to the city centre (7-8 min to walk) and near to Whale & Puffin Watching meeting points, Saga museum, Reykjavik art museum, Reykjavik Maritime museum. Grocery shops are also in short distance to the house (5 min to walk): Bonus and Kronan. The house has typical Icelandic style: clean and cosy. It has enough space for big family. We had primary breakfasts in the mornings. There are all needed facilities to make proper meal. It is worth to notice that there is a good renovated bathroom with washing and dry machines. If you travel with family, this is a really excellent option to stay in Reykjavik.

Property exceeded expectations. Rooms varied in size. Property had lots of personal items on display (which I didn’t mind but others may not like).

Fantastic location, easy to get to and really accessible to the town center and harbor alike. Parking is a little tricky as on-street and the residents take all the spaces - we had 2 hire cars so had to park a few streets away where we could find the first spaces.

The basement bedroom is cold, but as you are only in it to sleep and change it wasn't too much of a problem. The electrics kept tripping out, there is a fault there, we had to keep resetting the trip switch - hopefully this is fixed now as we reported.

Location was great. Homeowner was great replying to our complaint about the BO stinky duvet cover and we were able to mostly rectify that after night 1 by washing that cover. Homeowner tried to rectify that by providing a few new books as an apology for the stink in the one bedroom.

Dirty, stinky duvet on one bed, smelled like BO all night.TV remote stuck to my hand when attempting to use it. Dirty appearing sock left underneath counter in basement bathroom. White spots of dried goop (yogurt?) On floor near kitchen. But the worst was upon leaving after 3 day stay, we removed the bottom sheet from the 3 beds used (as requested by the homeowner manual to be placed by the washer) and found horrific dried bloody and other body fluid stains on all 3 mattresses with no protective pad. Totally disgusting . The attached picture doesn't do justice to the actual mattress. One room was worse but no photo.

Check in and check out and house rules all very clear. It is a cosy, comfortable house with everything you need. It's handy for the city, and there is free parking in the road outside. Great for a family.
