My husband and I stayed for a week in this home-away-from-home. It was comfortable and met our needs as we visited our daughter. The upstairs bed and bath has nice natural daytime lighting from windows on three sides and is both spacious and cozy. We often walked to coffee shops and restaurants so infrequently used the kitchen but when we did we had everything there we needed. I used the washer/dryer which was very convenient. Clara also had supplies available throughout the home for a variety of needs from personal care to basic first aid to laundry to kitchen to extra bedding. Having easy parking for our rental car was very welcome. Clara greeted us when we arrived and told us to let her know if we needed anything. Communication was excellent as we scheduled and stayed. We like everything about Clara's place. We always check to see if it is available when we travel to Santa Barbara. It is in a very convenient location and Clara is great to deal with. We highly recommend this VRBO.

Easy walk to MacKenzie Park, several restaurants, Chaucer’s Bookstore (great!), Gelseb’s grocery, Trader Joe’s, Taste of India. Short drive to downtown and to the SB Mission. Quiet. Nice owners! Confortable and roomy. We’d stay there again.

The property was clean, the neighborhood was quiet, and the hosts were welcoming! This place is close to many SB parks, restaurants, and amenities that we love!

Clean, good price and nice location

This is the perfect little getaway unit ideal for a couple. Well-equipped kitchen, nice to have 2 bathrooms & washer/dryer even though we didn't use either. Very clean, airy & light. Lovely, private patio area with trees for shade. Close to CVS & Gelsons & local restaurants. The unit shares a common wall with the main house so just be aware it is not a standalone unit. The house is close to a fairly busy street so you do hear some traffic while sitting in the patio but it's not bad. Would definitely stay here again.

Clara was very nice. We talked with her a couple of times and each time she said if there was anything we needed, just call her. The apartment was perfect for our needs; kitchen downstairs, bedroom upstairs, and two full bathrooms. The location was perfect. We were within easy walking distance to Gelson's (local grocery store), CVS, Trader Joes, and two French bakeries (Renaud's and Bree'osh). Whole Foods was also close although we didn't walk there. We would definitely seek out this property again if we return to Santa Barbara.

This rental was exactly as it had been portrayed—no surprises. The location was exceptional—close to everything, yet tucked away and private. The bed was very comfortable. We were pleased that there were two television sets—one upstairs and one downstairs. We liked that there was safe parking on the premises. Having air conditioning—although we had to use it very infrequently—was a bonus. The few glitches (not the owner’s fault) were addressed and corrected quickly. The private patio with grill was a nice addition. Our complaints were few and minor: We had to make several kitchen purchases (e.g., a large pot and a skillet, a sharp knife), but most renters would probably eat out anyway. (We didn’t, due to COVID concerns plus dietary restrictions.) Also, the furniture wasn’t particularly comfortable. Overall, we recommend this property.

My husband and I had a really wonderful few days staying at Clara’s apartment. Everything was provided to enjoy our time there, including cooking utensils we needed as we didn’t eat out. Clara was really helpful and wanted to ensure we had everything we needed.

This San Roque gem is a great place for all. The living/kitchen space was great for my husband to work and I was able to cook a little, always a plus when traveling. It’s close to coffee shops, grocery and restaurants and even Santa Barbara’s only bookstore! It is quiet and private. Very relaxing stay.

Clara was very clear in all communications and there to meet us upon our arrival. She showed us through the place, making sure to highlight many little touches (and a few big ones) that might make our stay more comfortable. This was, by far, the most fully stocked place we have stayed, with every little care item in bathroom and kitchen cared for. She was also quick to point out VERY close proximty to Trader Joes and Whole Foods for quick stocking the fridge...and many nice restaurants within easy walking distance.Beautiful and private yard with gorgeous roses, fruit trees, and lawn, and very nice table & chairs was also nice spot to relax.Thank you Clara for a wonderful stay! We will be back soon!

We had a wonderful time in Santa Barbara, and this was a great home base. While we didn't use the kitchen much, it was well equipped. We had everything we needed here and two full bathrooms is a real luxury! The bed was super comfortable. Would definitely stay again!
